Morning all I just fell asleep on the sofa and woke up with my dog laying on my side with her head on mine asleep and my little girl had turned on the PC and found the website she plays on

SH that basket is lovely. I must admit I am thinking of doing similar next year. Have been applying for loads of freebies and hoping to stock up on little bits.

When you see the price of some in the shops, particular where you get a mug and some hot chocolate its shocking.

  • Wow, everyone is busy today.

Doodledoo - Sorry you had a bad night, hope you are feeling a bit better, my eldest daughter was up about 5am moaning and groaning and was very hot so had to get some Calpol, she is cooler now but will give her more medicine soon, don't want her being ill as my parents are taking them next Saturday for about a week and I'm desperate for the time to get all my stuff sorted out and ready to list on Ebay.

SH - The basket is great, where is the Special Occasions Board might be worth having a look for next year, I tend to buy stuff throughout the year for my two eldest, I got them Leapster 2's just under half price so am saving them for next year.

How do you put pictures on here?

Here's the link for the special occasions board

I use photobucket to host my photos for free and then paste on here... There are instructions at the front of the finished baskets part 2 thread on the board above...

    Hope that helps

  • Morning all (I know it's afternoon but I've not been up long!).

Doodledoo - hope you're feeling better. I've had a flu-ey thing coming on for weeks but now it's hit and my tonsils feel like they've been sandpapered .

SH - I am v impressed by your finished basket and reckon the person receiving it is very lucky! How did you manage to get the products so cheaply? Surely the larger bottles can't be freebies?

I can't be bothered to do much today, but have at least done a rough budget for 2009 and am going to make a list of everyone's birthdays so I can get organised and not leave the presents till the last minute (stole this idea from another thread). Still got 2 more Xmas pressies to buy as well!

    Hope everyone's having a good day :j.

    Hello!!!!!
Everyone discussing Christmas and shopping, and I was stuck at work with loads of miserable whinge bags....... moan moan moan, noone was happy....

Thankfully there were only a few people like that, and most people were really jolly, wasnt too busy though so hopefully anyone on the thread that needed to get out and about managed it!

Not much to report, got some money back that I was owed, and should get some more back tomorrow, so that'll be handy...

Well I was doing really well, last few pressies bought, supermarket shop done but then....stuck in traffic getting back home & bloke in queue next to me honked and said my tyre was looking very flat. Car was driving fine so as few minutes from home I carried on but now parked in garage with flat as pancake tyre. B*gger!

Not only will I have to get a new expensive one I know from last time I tried I've got no hope of getting nuts off. Asked friend to pop round in morning and help me have a go if not it'll be an AA call. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
    Merry blooming christmas

PS hope evryone else is having a good evening

YAY! Well done on the wrapping stakes.
Worked out with DH yesterday that one of the reasons i feel so pap (aside from job loss) is because i just dont feel like its xmas. I know its happening but its just really underwhelming and I just dont feel christmassy, which is horrible because I love Xmas, so he's promised me we'll make up for it next year, but still makes this year a bit lack lustre...
