automatic cashback from Carphone

I purchased the contract £3.99/month on the refurbished Nokia 6630 in 03/10/05.

It said that I will recive an automatic check within 30 days for £130.05. I am still waiting for this!!!

Does anyone have a phone number for them so I can call directly to the department who are in charge of cashbacks. I purchased it online.

It would be interesting to know if anyone else bought this contract at similar time as me.

Is there a phone number in the email confirmation of order?

mine was in February, but I expect the number's the same ...

CPW tell me they have a backlog due to the Christmas rush but you can contact them as below

redempqueriescorres@cpwplc.com or call our Customer Care Team on 0870 087 0168

I called today at CPW Local store and the manager guy phoned them and then sent them a fax of my bill and sorted the whole thing out he was great you could try that avenue as well

    Hope this helps

    Regards

    Paul

  • I got my phone around the same time and still await the auto cashback.

You can call CPW free on 0800 049 1008 - either speak to customer services, or ask for the redemptions team.

I sensed that this was either a company deliberately making life difficult for anyone wanting their money back, or that there were far too many people working for them who are just incompetent. Either way, it's not good news for us customers...

I've now made 5 calls to them asking where my money is - each time I get someone who tells me 'confidently' that they will sort this out!

On the plus side (of sorts) I ordered a similar package from their sister site e2save much later (maybe 8 weeks) and then cancelled it when it went 'missing' in the post. I got my auto cashback of £120 from them this week, obviously by mistake, and quickly banked it, while I await CPW's £130.05 - and when they finally realise this, I will tell them that I am really busy chasing CPW, and will try to pay them back within 28 days. Or 60, if I get REALLY busy.

    Good luck!

I bought 2 of the 6630s one in sept and one in Oct and I've already received both automatic payments. No problems at all with them.

Pinga14 how long did you have to wait for your cashback on each occasion?

did you have to call/chase them for it or did you recieve it without any contact?

They are just totally incompetent with no-one wanting to handle the problem. I've spent hours being passed between the same departments, and sometimes even the same people. You're left on hold for 10 to 15 minutes at times, passed to departments that you tell the person you don't want to be passed too, but it still happens, they then pass you back to the original department.
CPW do not deserve to be in business and I'll never deal with them again.

Doesnt surprise me,im having same problem with their sister company osps, been waiting since 10th sept for my auto cashback, ive heard excuse after excuse, ive give them 14 working days notice by letter to send or ill start online court proceedings.
  • I think I must be lucky. I ordered two 6630's in July and got the automatic cashback three weeks later. When it was time to claim the cashback for the fourth bill I sent them both off separately recorded delivery (even though they were purchased at the same time one bill comes two weeks after the other) and one was never delivered. Carphone Warehouse were great. They told me to fax a copy of the bill to them - I've now had both cheques and they were both, for some unknown reason, more than I was expecting. Maybe it's just the pressure of Christmas that's slowing things down at the moment.
