there are all those girls admiring your hunk, and he goes home to you ;)

Michael Caine said that Shakira didn't like him doing such scenes (and his are preserved on film  ) so he always had to do something, or give a look to camera so that when they watched it he could say "see, I'm only acting, I'm not enjoying it!"

My OH is rarely the romantic lead. But he made a great Dame :D

Update popped home at lunchtime and not only has my replacement card arrived :j but the post office have sent me a book of 1st class stamps as an apology for carp service :D

Sounds like everyone is having a fun and crazy day!!

ktjazz, that must be tough, i don't think i could watch my other half doing that, mindst you, he most definitely wouldn't get up to anything he knows what i'd do to him, he's learned from previous experiences when he's annoyed me over something:D

You must be very proud of him though and its obviously something he's worked hard for.

Loki, great news about the elf thing, i was an elf for santa when i was younger, really enjoyed it!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: loving the shiny, sparkly, happy thread today:D Just one thing though, if I ever visit any of you lot - no way am I unpacking my toothbrush:eek:  .:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Tomorrow I am going to town and buying some new stripey and sparkly socks for work, have been giggling all day about wearing my silly socks while still looking suitably sensible and manager like:D worth it for the feel good factor.
    Reduce,re-use, recycle.

  • Excellent potential sock purchase strategy - may I suggest after checking in charity shop or freecycle :)- those 99p shops are good for these kinds of socks, are as the more budget end of kids shops - adult socks tend tobe a bit sensible, so opt for larger childrens ones if you can (and you don't pay VAT). I find them essential wear for important meetings, stressful visits to docs (you know what I mean) and even good first date 'dont get nervous - I am lovely' essential wear - and of course perfect for interviews (for my PhD interview I had one sparkly star knee length sock on, one rainbow stiped one, needed a boost).

My only worry is, if I get knocked down by a car - once in the ambulance will they take me A & E or the funny farm once they discover my secret socks??

Toothbrush is safe in this household! Imagine if you did a pop in cuppa one day with each of us - might take you a while, and to the very north and south of the UK...........enjoy day, still writing..........this is helping me focus - honest and I am loving converting some of you previously sensible sock wearers to silly socks section of society (bit like the secret service but with added s's's.) Back to the literature, which my kids have laughed about ever being finished - must focus.......
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
    :money:Sleeves up folks.:money:
