MrsAudus, it is amazing the therapeutic value of a list isn't it? Hope you're feeling more cheerful soon.
On the sock issue, I bulk bought grey themed woolly socks* a good while back, and this week every single day I have managed to put on a not-quite matching pair, I must have paired socks in the dark, put them on in the dark, and only discovered when changing at the gym :rotfl: :rotfl:
*Dull really. Really Dull0 -
Morning all!
Today I have/will....
Spend my free £5 M&S voucher on some yummy treats for nice teas next week

Pay gardener and cancel him for the winter (not looking forward to it as he must be skint too)
Not spend unnecessary money
Have announced that I am staying in this weekend and having a rest (been very busy lately) and so will spend the time cooking, catching up on missed telly, walking the dog and not spending money!
Will have lunch from what's left over in the fridge when I get home and a freezer tea
Thats it for now
Have a happy Friday!0 -
hello again everyone!
I'm so glad the grown ups are back!
I'm off work today, I still have to drive the 40miles (and back) to pick up my friend and bring them back to see the play tonight.
It was amazing last night. I'm not surprised, I'd heard nothing but good reports but it was something really special. That doesn't mean it was easy to watch though. there are some parts of some plays that are a nightmare for the girlfriends (or boyfriends) of the actors to watch. It is so difficult for people to understand what it is like to watch the person you love (legitimately) kissing someone else. However fake you know it is...
Anyway, I'll stop rambling and get on with it.
Today I have/will
- probably forget about money saving completely
KTjazz:hello: - Proud to be dealing with my debts!:j DFW nerd No. 1011!

- go to asda and do a shop to cover the weekend and the first few days of the week, and not spend my money in the local but rip off londis

Glad it went well for you KT, I can't imagine what it feels like to see your boyfriend pretend kissing someone else, very strange. When I found out my ex had not been pretending to kiss someone, I cleaned the toilet bowl with his toothbrush, amongst other things
I have loads of black socks but never a pair, I know where you're coming from Olive. I frequently find myself wearing an ankle grabber and a saggy calf slider. Moan about it all day and still don't get round to pairing the socks up properly :rotfl::rotfl:Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
Total debt today: £0 - debt and mortgage free 29th November 2013 :T

Good morning, can I join this thread please, I am in dire need of inspiration!
DFW things I have/am doing today:
Made DD take a packed lunch despite her request for school dinner (feel bad about this as she had already arranged with her friend:o !)
Brought a packed lunch for myself
Brought in old magazines from Sunday papers (donated by my MSE friend) instead of buying a new one
Check bank balance - dreading this in a BIG way
Meal plan for the week
Make shopping list for tomorrow's grocery shop
Start listing books on greenmetropolis
Start turbo listing on ebay ready for free listing day (99p start) this weekend
Update my CV so I can try and get an extra job
Try and be sparkly although not feeling much like it at the mo' - mind you it IS Friday!!:T0 -
morning all  ,
having a very sparkly day!! wearing my long stripey socks under black trousers and boots!!
:xmastree: went to my elf interview and it sounds like fun! was asked if i would like to be elf supervisor!!! will have to wait to hear back from them though - please could everyone keep fingers (and stripey toes) crossed for me :A
so apart from that i am now home and have one hour before going for my lunch at mums and hairdressers at college... - only £5 (had budgeted £10 :j )
today i plan to:
- not have takeaway tonight - will have a look in freezer for shep pie that i batch cooked ages ago - forgot  . oh wants to treat us to takeaway... do i let him?? very tempted..
- oh took pack up with him for lunch - and left lunchbox at work. BUT it was because he was excited about getting work uniform (free clothes :j :j )
- free lunch at mums - and lift to college and back
- ask mum if i can have the washable runner mat for my hall (she got a new one) - she is using it by cat flap - but i did get free apples and free printing paper
- watch dvd from blockbuster trial - free entertainment :T
- make popcorn for cheap munchies
- scan docs for new car reg so i get paid £200 :j :j :j - done - now got to wait for cheque
- make soup out of cheapy carrots and parsnips that have gone 'bendy'...
- try wine that i got from mr m's. it is in a big tetra pack thingy so worked out cheaper than a bottle and no glass to recycle (but must be careful and only have some of it!!!!) - having a glass now for celebration of sucessful day (make note to self to eat BIG dinner to reduce hangover!)
tomorrow depending on hangover i will get new plates for car (saw dad and he is getting me some when he gets his next week so should get trade discount) and go to local butchers. have spoken to oh and he needs a new belt for work trousers so will see if i can sneak a stripey / sparkly sock purchase in on his shopping!
happy birthday to the birthday girls :bdaycake:
everyone enjoy your weekends!!!
loki xit's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:0
