Glad it went well for you KT, I can't imagine what it feels like to see your boyfriend pretend kissing someone else, very strange. When I found out my ex had not been pretending to kiss someone, I cleaned the toilet bowl with his toothbrush, amongst other things :o

I have loads of black socks but never a pair, I know where you're coming from Olive. I frequently find myself wearing an ankle grabber and a saggy calf slider. Moan about it all day and still don't get round to pairing the socks up properly :rotfl::rotfl:

Oh Piq - we have so much more in common, when I found out my ex was being silly with someone else, his tooth brush was used to clean the toilet every time I went to the loo - for a month or so he was kissing her with that mouth - made me smile very much - sometimes I even used it to clean the taps and my shoes - whoops (he's still alive though - :rotfl: ). This and many other sneaky sneaky silly things is how I exacted my revenge. Sending children back home for the odd weekend visit with both small animals (hamsters) and boxes of conkers (2ltr ice cream tub, top of stairs you picture the rest) also made me giggle and the 'newly happy couple' a bit cross. (have a few handy hints on this front....:D but I wont share too much cos folk will think I am a terrrible person)

Your dull socks Olive are obviously taking on a life to themselves and are rebelling by not pairing up - I love the entrophy of it all.

RE Gardener - don't worry about the gardener - (we) they completely understand - nowt much to do in the winter, sometimes folk have an agreement to make a monthly retainer/spread the gardening wages over the year - so paid a little less over summer but wages whole year round. When I work for clients I usually try and do this - means we all win - and folk seem quite happy to pay like this. (if that makes sense?) My other pal who works gardening also does decorating, odd jobs etc in winter - to help out client and keep the pennies rolling in. Either way tis the nature of gardening, we aint much needed when the plants are sleeping.

See, thats my problem, I don't know whether to hug him or hit him when he gets off stage. I know it's ok but feelings wanting to do the above mentioned such things, not to him but to the TWO women who get his 'attention' in this one. Even more confusing because I actually like them both...

There should be a support group for this kind of thing!

Almost crying with laughter here loki and Fay, you're to blame!!

For some reason the idea of an elf supervisor is almost too funny for words, how many elves would you be responsible for ? I am so jealous, I want to be one too, much better than my manky job... and you can openly wear stripey sock.....:T:grin:

Love the idea of the small animals, I didn't think of that, although I did always pack the trumpet and xlophone (sorry no idea how to spell that)

Shopaholic welcome :hello: It seems to be coming progressively madder by the day, so come on in and have some fun....

We'll be that support group! Give him garlic the night before, at least they won't enjoy the experience....:rotfl:

    loki - the elf supervisor

    pmsl!!

Thank you for making me smile. I needed that. Now, you do realise we're going to need photographic evidence of that, don't you?!

    Poor girls!
I see one fundamental flaw in the plan. I'll still want to kiss him after the show!

Thanks for being my support group. I need it. As usual I have told him I am fine about it today (although he did see me cry about it yesterday).

On the slightly funnier side half of Glasgow have also seen my boyfriend in his underwear... I don't know why but rather than being embarrassed I find that totally hilarious!

Great plan - and beans or sprouts too :rotfl:

Thanks for the welcome piquant :D
  • YOu both eat - Garlic - lots of garlic bread - and/or a nice curry (spag bog?!) and put water into his deodarant bottle so he's no 'deodorising protection' so less than fresh on stage -encourage him not to shave and give them razor burn - um thinking.......its a tricky one - tell them you have the beginnings of tonsilitis or glandular fever coming on.......or be extra sweetly nice to them........hopefully thier concious will get the better of them.

    Hugs Ktjazz!!

Ps do you think the width stripes on the socks change with responsibility (ie limited stripes for less responsibility - mega stripes for those in charge) or do you only get to wear certain colours if you are an elf supervisor??

AND more importantly does santa actually wear very stripey socks, him being the head of department so to speak? Maybe thats why he wears those big boots.

PS is the lack of lists in the thread potentially not in line with the form of the thread? Will endeavour have fun and to try harder - here goes my list update:

    *eating homemade soup
*working from home (no spend on petrol)
*Kids going swimming with chum in mo (shes paying!)
*washing on and its now sunny so might hang it up
*dogs occupied with free bone from butcher
*writing lots of words and thus not spending today so far
*enjoying free MSE forum chat rather than texting or on phone
*sparklying and stripeying with all the fun, and its free!!

Back to work..........catch you all in abit.
