MFI - closing down 80% off displays

You don't get 70% off the original price you getThey often had "50% off plus extra 20%" during sales, so certainly 70% off is nothing special for kitchens!
However, the rest of the furniture wasn't so heavily discounted.
50% off the original price and 20% off the 50% remaining price which is really 10% off the original. so you go away thinking you have saved 70% but only have saved 60% of a inflated price leaving the price they wanted to charge in the first place.0 -
I went to St Helens Branch today and there was nothing left but couple of kitchens.0

I popped into a store yesterday and found it still overpriced even with the 80% off. They wanted £200 plus for wardrobes that were made of pressed chipboard and melamine. Still a complete rip-off. Of course, there are always chumps that will buy 'sale' items even when they aren't value for money.
A true bargain may be available today as left-over stock will be knocked down further.
The administrator said they are shutting many stores as they can't afford the rents. Stores in cheaper rental areas will remain open.0 -
I was at Aylesbury store yesterday, some eager bod managed to rip a kitchen off the wall sending it crashing to the floor. I don't know why ... the discount was the same price they pretty much always sell at.
If anyone wants a bargain I think you will have to be there at the closing bell and take pot luck (from an earllier post it may already be too late).
Anyway: I asked if *everything* was on clearance, and was told *yes*. So I made an offer for their Colour HP Laser Printer.
Apparently there is more than one meaning of all :rotfl: . Worth trying though - you never know...
If you don't want a Laser - please still ask, as I will take it...............0 -
