can confirm rochdale store has the same sort of sale most likely 80% off but i know full well it will be closing as they will be knocking it down to build a retail park. Question is when lol

Went into Trowbridge branch and it is NOT closing, but still had the 80% signs up. HAd a quick look, but this seems like a normal sale on their prices and not a closing down sale
  • I've been to my local one to see what could be acquired, but it is frankly the worst closing down sale I've seen. (sorry for the peeps who are losing their jobs)

3 grand for a shower cubicle, a sink and toilet. :rotfl:

The sofas all seem to have gone, but they weren't that much of a deal.

They will not break the room sets, so if you only want a bath, tough.

The only way it is a good deal is at 90% off, otherwise it's just what you could get in Ikea for the same price.

Oh also spoke to the administrator who advised the stores will shut when they've sold off the products. anything between 1-7 weeks.

You do wonder sometimes why companies go to the wall - with MFI it's pretty self evident why.
  • Bradford store is closing on Cemetry road but they appear to be opening a new one on forster square retail park?!

kiddyguy i know what you mean went to charlton store yesterday to see melamine furniture with so called 80% of their having a laugh 350 quid for a flimsy wardrobe not worth more than 100 pounds and that was with the 80% off.i can see why mfi have gone that way conning people for utter crap.

So in summary, there is no discount at all in their closing down sale?

Same old overpriced stuff with comedy discount signs.

Good luck to anyone who finds something useful, but I don't think I shall bother

It would be good to hear from someone who has genuinely bought something really worth £1000 for £100 though.

I admit I think they have put 'extra' price on some of their displays but there were some good bargains and one of the storeworkers told my sis to come back in a few days (mon/tue) when the lease will soon be up and they will have to get rid of everything so will be even cheaper. (I'll be in the skips when they have shut too to see what they have thrown out!:D)
