Joints are giving my absolute agony, god this is a hard day
Sorry just had to get it off my chest
Yes me too, I could tell the weather had changed yesterday before I even got out of bed as my knees were hurting so much and I felt really stiff. Also I dont feel so happy when the weathers grotty. I hope the sun comes back.Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

Absolutely. I've barely left my bed today.Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0 -
Sue, my eldest's college has a rule that no student is in any circumstances, to do more than ten hours' work whatsoever, and that they would prefer it if they did no more than one day at the weekend (7 hours). They say that with the new AS and A2s, there is too much coursework for them to be out working all hours, as it's not like the old days when everything rested upon one 3 hour exam on a June morning in the Upper Sixth. Your DS's college may well say exactly the same thing - which could be good for fending off toxic comments like that.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0

Good morning all,
I'm feeling quite "up" today, despite my shoulders and neck feeling like someone has been using a meat tenderiser on them!! I'm waiting for an appointment for a back stabbing (lumbar puncture) but then have no appointments for a whole month!! Woo Hoo!!In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -
Well after being full on for weeks (months even) with appointments (3 on one day alone this week!), we appear to be going into a period of calm with just the odd one or two.
Mind you, it always starts like that and ends up completely differently!
Now need to get eldest's hips seen to, he could barely walk home last night from his friends house as they were so painful but being the stubborn boy/man he is, he refused the lift and finally managed it home and walked through the door with tears streaming down his face....when asked why, he says he is not going to let it beat him.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
You having a bad time LW? Hugs to you, sweetie.
I get really fed up with appointments - poking and prodding until I feel like yelling "leave me alone!". A good day for me now is one where I dont have to leave the house.
Saw GP last week and, according to level of infection still present, she thinks it's gonna be another couple of months until I'm clear of the glandular fever - it's been two bloomin months already! But on the plus side, my exSIL arrived late last night to stay for the BH weekend. Love spending time with her, she's a great mate. Lives 5 hrs drive away so we don't get to see each other that often, even if we keep the phone lines buzzing, it's not the same.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

Good man!
I know it's horribly expensive, but it sounds like driving lessons would really help from the moment he is old enough to do them. Is there any way you could manage to put some money away each week to book a block of them?
There are some charities which help fund lessons for teenagers as well, which might ease the cost. If he gets all 'I don't want to rely on you', you could always point out that it benefits you, because you don't like driving much in unknown places, anyway, so you could leave it to him...I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
