Hello fellow Crocks.
I'm late today, been busy making bread rolls and sultana and spice buns. Plenty for all.:p
Summer? That was from 2 to 4 in the afternoon of the third Tuesday in August, wasn't it?:rotfl:
Any chance of a large black coffee? I need the caffeine!
One dose of caffeine coming up .... coffee is free .....0 -
Cheers Alto.... I needed that!
I never had a school dinner in my life; and from the sound of it, I escaped a cruel and unusual punishment!:pIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hello Alto ... you're looking well, seeing as you are a year older than you were the day before yesterday
Well, I'm back from the dentist - I was lucky to be seen at all, I'd marked my calendar for 12.30pm, but actually it was 12.15 so I was late but fortunately the 12.30 appointment didn't turn up so I was seen anyway (I seem to attract chaos like a magnet!). The bad news is that an old amalgam filling has had it, so I'll be having it replaced with a porcelain filling which is a bit of a faff, and it will hiot my pocket too
I won't have amalgam fillings any more - there's something about putting mercury in my mouth that doesn't seem right - if it isn't good enough for pregnant women, then it isn't good enough for me either!
I'm exhausted now! Caffeine and cake please!

talking about school canteens, any chocolate crunch behind the counter there please ? with pink custard obviously
LameWolf, school dinners were lovely in my primary and my grammar school so I think we were very lucky because that wasn't the norm; I've heard some real horror stories about school dinners ... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Right folks, Mr LameWolf phoned a little while ago to say he's on his way home, so I'd better go and tidy up and get the Shepherd Spy out of the fridge (it's the 2nd half of one I made yesterday). I hope to be back here tomorrow.:p Have a good evening. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Evening all
I'm wrecked, need a soy hot chocolate and a foot rub. My dear lil muvver came round today with her steamer and cleaned the outside doors and some of the windows which had gotten a tad manky, we have a bit of a black mould problem here & I'm allergic to itHopefully it'll help reduce the amount of sinus headaches I get. Bless my lil mum, she's 67 and still comes round an works like a mad thing on the rare occaision I do ask for her help  She did all the hard work, I'm just kn@ckered paddling back and forward tending to the pup and fetching stuff to help mum clean.

Evening - now we have a pot of free coffee on the go and could possibly rustle up some hot chocolate - can't provide the foot rub though but the massage parlour next door does them.
Now I am a tad confused - I have never had tea tree oil on my chips:eek:
I have spent the afternoon doing some research for one of my assignments (HND course) - looking at Victorian side shows for hire. After cooking my tea - really cheap it was, 250g best mince from butcher cost me about £1.50, a chopped onion 10p, some herbs, a slug of worcester sauce, a tin of chopped tomatoes (cheap from Lidl), oxo from store cupboard - served it with tagliatelle also cheap from Lidl, I received a telephone call from aba-i asking me if I was available to do a mystery shop in Selfridges tomorrow. So tomorrow afternoon I shall hop on the bus and go into town, I can do a bit of windowshopping at the same time and do my mystery shop.
The money will go towards my £10 a day challenge.:D0 -
Evening everybody, sorry I'm late, been shopping and looking after grandchildren today(I'm cream crackered!!!) Am I too late for hot chocolate and a cake? Off to Blackpool in the morning to visit dd2's friend who's recently opened a craft shop, so I'm armed with a list and money I've squirrelled away over the last few weeks. Then I can get on with the Christmas cards when I get back on Sunday. (Sorry shouldn't I have mentioned the 'C' word??):silenced:Sealed Pot Challenge member 28
