  • Sorry I wasn't around yesterday - Dr Dragon had a day off and so we were "doing"! (and I did too much and can barely move today )

The Furry Dragon (aka his cuteness!) went out for his first ever walk yesterday (bless!) and was ever so good ... well apart from one bit - we popped into the local to show him off and in the excitement he widdled on the tile floor :o, we cleaned up and left rather quickly :rotfl:

cwta - I'm glad to hear your Dad is improving

Sharon - sorry to hear you are on another round of Chemo, but as you say at least the wigs are halfway decent now!

If someone can pass me a hot chocolate laced with brandy I would be nicely set up for the rest of the day :p

Just had a phone call. They said they were from care something, and I didn't quite hear.

I'm expecting a call today from the care service at my local GPs office to make an appointment to help me fill out my DLA form at some point. She was chatting away, firing questions at me. I though, god this are a bit person just to get some help with DLA!

It then clicked it was social services, phoning to do my assessment, to see whether they can help me! I'm so silly.

Anyway, she's putting in a request for a bed rail, a bath rail and a perching stall. She's also putting in for a housing needs assessment. I don't know how my landlady will feel about these things though!

Hopefully the assessment will help get a council ground floor flat, then I can put whichever adaptations in I need. :)

Ugh, I'm having trouble finding clothes. The jeans I have about about 2 sizes too big for me - they don't even stay up, and I'd really like some more stuff to wear for work.

However, I'm tall (5'11 - size 36 leg) and also big. I can find tall clothes for skinny people, or normal length for fat people, but not the two combined. Evans have got rid of their tall sections (argh!) and I just ordered some jeans from tallgirls, but they must run small as they don't fit. I've ordered another pair of jeans from Dorothy Perkins which are tall, so I'm hoping they fit or I'm really stuck.

I can't find any work trousers anywhere though.

Long Tall Sally are super expensive, and again probably stop the size before I'm looking for.

Any tips? I can't be the only tall and fat person in existence!
