    Thanks for the tip. I went and bought headphones with mic and working through the tutorial, I think this speech recognition is great, wish I had though about it years ago lol.

    Not sure how long it will be before I can dictate a post though :rotfl:

  • Wait until you start 'talking' to the screen and the words appear as if by magic on this forum....
  • dragon is a good tool but it does take some time to teach it .

    Zoomtext screen magnifier software is good - you can get it with speech and I think you can talk to it too. Sorry if I am vague but I have a zoomtext magnifier without speech.

    I just wanted to say thank you for the tip about the voice recognition feature which is part of Vista

    It is something that will come in very handy once it can undertand my Irish accent lol

    From memory I recall an 'expert' saying the voice recognition software in Vista is an earlier version of the Dragon Software....

    If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!

    Thanks for the link,I have downloaded the Dragon software and it seems better than the Windows voice recognition.

    Do you know how long the free trial lasts for as I never noticed when either signing up?
