Plusnet and Tiscalli - are they SO bad??

We joined Tiscali 6 months ago on their inclusive package for broadband and free weekend calls. All set up, no problems we thought. Well we did have problems setting up the modem, and their foreign call centre was $hite, but it was sorted eventually.
We were told that we'd get free calls within 7 days of connection, so expected that to happen. By the time we got our first bill after nearly 3 months we found that they hadn't activated the free calls, so queried this and after 4 failed phone calls to their non-existent customer service finally got through to someone who could speak english and they agreed to credit our account £10 and get it sorted within 4 days. 4 weeks later, no credit and not sorted, so worte to complain. No resposne. Phoned to complain, fobbed off. Wrote to complain again, no response, so asked for complaints procedure and how to escalate. No response. Wrote to OFCOM, copied them in, acknowledgement and told that their department (complaints) could not deal with the query~!!! Told to phone the number I had already told them was never answered!!
Requested MAC code 2 weeks ago as I am !!!!!! off with their complete and total failure to even try to respond to my complaint and being fobbed off by at least 6 different people trying to pass the buck. I am still waiting for it, despite chasing it 4 times!! So i can't even cancel and change!
Their customer service is non-existent, they have rubbish foreign call centres, they are no longer cheap in comparison, they promise lots and deliver nothing, need I go on?
Even their Chief Executive has failed to reply to my complaint!

I was with NTL for years, who brought a new standard to levels of customer dissatisfaction, but they were like M&S compared to Tiscali. I don't know how they think they can get away with it. Oh, probably because they can.0

Worst customer services I have ever come across.
On the plus side, every problem that I had they diagnosed as requiring a new modem (I think they have targets to meet for not passing people onto the proper technical support guys in England), so every time they sent me one, I put it onto ebay BNIB etc.illegitimi non carborundum0
