Thanks very much squizzer, i thought i had better kick myself up the rear and get organised....

Although all i can report today is five things listed on Amazon.
Mystery shops checked..nothing...boooo
part time job applied for and application forms filled in for interviews.

Quick one for KC, a new series was on ITV 4 starring Amanda Tapping, and they reckon other members of the stargate cast will be in it..its called Sanctuary, just to add to the Sci fi must watch................

I'm going to start work on my plot at the weekend............

Just to add, why on earth was that moved from oldstyle? I started looking at it when she first posted then wondered where she had gone..it doesn't make sense to me, but then again i have been quite put off about posting on Oldstyle lately.

Are you planning to grow anything over Winter? I must have a look to see what can be planted now.. although with the rain we keep getting I'm thinking of turning the garden into a paddy field and growing rice... :rolleyes:

ps just got an email about new series of River Cottage and they're doing recipes with squirrel :eek:

I am thinking of indoor salads and i would like some more potatoes, and parsnips are nice in winter..i am getting my book out and going on some other webiste bloggy things.

Mumof4 says (you know how children are when they talk about their teacher?......) potatoes take up too much room for what they yield for her. And she (emphasise the she) says she grows more expensive stuff instead as she'd need a whole new allotment for tatties.

OTOH I've grown King Edwards because the greengrocer can't get them cos the big supermarkets buy all there is. Apparently it is lower yielding than Maris P's for eg.

Thanks! I managed to catch the first one, but I haven't seen the second yet. Its interesting that they're seeing the series through the eyes of a Daniel-alike. I love her accent, upper class Brit. The guy who plays Major Lorne in Atlantis was there as a cop, and there were loads of behind-the-scenes names I recognised. What I don't get is that they obviously like Amanda Tapping, and they like her character Sam too. Now, Amanda Tapping is a *really* nice woman, through and through - but Sam became a travesty of her former self during Season 4, and it got worse and worse. These are the people who hurt Sam! I used to be so proud of her - genius, brave, committed. In the end, they were using a soft focus on her the way they used it on James Kirk's woman-of-the-week, it was appalling, and thats just the visible tip of the iceberg. I mourn for Sam-that-was.

Okay, I'll shut up on that now but you see how much I restrain my fandom self from posting on here? Sorry to ladle it onto your new thread

And we've all seen just how good bob is at shooting squirrels without even looking....dont be sitting up any trees in the dark.
