  • have images of mr bob scurrying round trying desperately to find card...bit like a wee druggie trying to find his fix but worried he may have lost it on a blow out and wondering how he will cope till replacement card...sad git...why doesent he just give up eh!! Just watched the whole jane eyre on catch up...lovely!

:rotfl: :rotfl: I think he may cotton on that he has had to replace a couple of his cards at least three times..i kid you not:o So he is reliant on them, don't know why as he earns a good wage, works hard and can survive without them..the world does not come to an end when the plastic is not in your wallet.

I think he will give up soon ISOM....he has to. LOL:cool:

Was Jane Eyre good, i envy you :o as i forgot to put it on planner to record, oh well.

Handy hint for the day, a pair of scissors keeps the plastic at bay:rotfl: Or some of you may say something else given his recent operation..but i promise it wasn't me..honest guv:p

Bob, if you don't hear anything in about a week about the account getting updated, fire off a letter to both about the Data Protection Act and how they have failed by having incorrect information on your file. If they don't update it within 28 days, you will be sending a complaint to the Information Commissioners Office.

Hopefully that'll be the kick in the rear that they need.

Hope you and Mr Bob are keeping okay.

Thanks George, i was wondering about the time line on this kind of thing. I thought it may be similar to other stuff but wasn't quite sure. Not like me to slack on this front, but have had my eye off the ball recently( no pun intended)

Mr.B is recovering well and taking it easy...as is his want!

I've just posted on nightowls...can you believe no posts on there for 8 days ?!?!?!? summat's up....

birthday bash went really well, ta, mrs G-J had a great time (and ergo, me too ;)) Nice and as relaxing as London allows...went to see Chicago on the Sat matinee..and generally took it easy and dossed round for the weekend in a posh (but VERY reasonably-priced) hotel and chinatown (for the food, obviously ;))...and even got the suprise-house-decorated-and-some-family&friends round bit in for the Sunday return....all in all, thumbs-up all round :D

however, how's you coping with mr bob's ...errm...strange behaviour ??

It is a tad weird, he is seriously in denial about his stuff/ or i should say our stuff as i am willing to go through it all together. I honestly don't know why he buries his head in the sand. He is a decent hard working man and i feel that this has put a large wedge in between us. I take him at his word and if i make a mistake i own upto it..i would hope that after so long together he would too.I think it is a pride thing with him, if he doesn't admit it he won't lose face.
As a chap i would appreciate a point of view on mindset on this.:o

hmmm....that may be a tad difficult bob...I crucify myself for spending 50p on a choccie bar in work while we've got debts.....however...have worked with lots of "blokes" (as they oft like to be called) with similar attitudes, pride wasn't one of the seven dealdy ones for nothing. It's like, "if I admit I'm wrong, I'm not invincible or something" and whilst I really don't get it myself, can see how maybe he doesn't know how to change the situation, so will play ostriches until it goes away, except, of course, it never does and is usually worse when the head pops up out of the sand for an instant...perhaps he just can't/doesn't know how to cope with it..

I think you are right there. He doesn't seem to spend extravagently, but there have been little transactions for £3.40 paper, pop and choccie..not even proper food. I would be embarrassed to put that on a credit card:o I make him sandwiches, soup allsorts really.
He has fixed outgoings of petrol and parking a week, and i suggested he has a basic bank account and transfers money into there for these then he is not putting it on a card.
I even suggested he take my car for a week and see what a difference the petrol would be..v.economical as i got to Cornwall and back for about £40 and still finishing the tank off from beginning of Feb.
I wish he would maybe have you lot as mates then he could have a good talking to.
