  • Woohoo, post has come and i had forgotten that i had transferred some money out of Isa before Christmas and paid it off Halifax card..before the boiler...booohooo.

Anyhoo that is another £300 off total..must have had a mad one on there to forget that one..goes back to look..yep have not marked it down so can add to total.

Mr.B is a tad like Bean..maybe he has that Blackadderish appeal and i feel the need to sort him out.OOh there is the crux of our relationship..*sigh*. Must do better eh?
Talking of Mr.Bean..i reckon i must be the Turkey then..snicker.

  • comp gone slow so cant look stuff up....lol re the letter!
I would find that v. frustrating and would prob educate mr bob (if I was mrs bob) of an alternative use for a dyson, along with showing how excellent the suction is on areas of his anatomy that Alfie recently had removed...
Still waiting to hear from Egg about their generous offer! Will go for the dont use the card, pay it off and then close - all good for me! Also going to close my john lewis acc - rarely use it and if one thing I've learned is if you dont use it - close it!

Ah Mr.B also recieved a nice letter from Egg, well two actually..

    Dear Mr.B

After reviewing your credit rating we have decided to no longer allow you to use your card .As we are culling 90% of our customers we decided that you fit into the category of paying off your card forever..please set up appropriate direct debit so we can fleece you for the rest of your life.

    Yours Sincerely

    Egg

    second letter

    Dear Mr.B

This is in response to the non letter we sent out regarding your new repayment structure. We can confirm that you still pay the monthly payment of 2% of balance at exhorbitant interest rate which we kindly raised it to after 0% expired( well maybe five months after but who's counting?) WE are also pleased to confirm that the said rate is also an extra 1% on top..so that's nice. I hope that clears it up for you why your minimum payment has increased rather than decreased. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require further misleading letters. ( e mails as we don't do letters)

Yours as ever in our debt

    Egg

So there you go, lots of reasons to be an egg customer eh?

  • aww bob can you sneak wine into your tent..or vodka in case it gets reeealy bad?!!
    Here is response I really look forward to sending one day (probably retirement age);

    Dear egg,
Thank you for being so helpful in my attempts to pay my debts off. The fact that you kindly offered to increase my interest rate from a high 17% to a breathtaking 34% will stay with me forever. Even more poingnient (? spelling!) is the fact that my credit rating wasnt so bad and I'd never missed a payment, or paid late! Ever.
I hope, with all my heart, that your company is one that goes bust. Were I not so attached to my job (making a postive difference in actually helping vulnerable people, rather than shafting them) and so attached my home I would just stay here ya go then and hand the keys over.
Thankfully for you, and the other sheisters around, I intend to pay my debt off in full and really look forward to the day when I will happily tell you all to f-off, close my accounts and becomme evangelical about not using credit."
    Angry. Moi?

ahhh and breathe...thanks for the loan of your thread bob...that feels better! seriously !!!!!! eh? talk about knocking people when they are down...

Oh aye they are a bunch aren't they..i think they would get the point eh? I wonder if i would ever have the guts to send a letter my friend once sent.

    Dear CC company,

Thankyou so much for your recent letter about my missing payments on my credit card. Ufortunately the business i am in has recently gone a bit stale..it is the times and prostituting doesn't pay what it once did.

I know find my self in the unenviable position of having a large tax bill and lower earnings this year. As i am unable to make a living at the moment out of what i really do enjoy best ( the communicable diseases are bad though) what is a girl supposed to do? I also have a large medical bill, but hey you takes the highs with the lows and luckily have nothing catching..which is one of the reasons i didn't lick the letter ..just in case.

Please find an enclosed income and expenditure..You will note that i must have a business premises ( just a back room really nothing flash) Lubricants etc are becoming quite expensive..what do you allow on these things? as CAB really were no help whatsoever.

I look forward to hearing your responses...

What do you reckon? Could set a new standard eh?:rotfl: :rotfl:
