Ooh I remember guide camp.. it rained for a week and we had to be 'evacuated' to a church hall while they tried to stop the tents being washed away... :rotfl:

I remember opting out of the Millenium Camp that our scouts did.

But I did see them return Head-to-Toe coated with mud. They looked like creatures from a scary movie.

One mum however found clean socks pants and toothbrush etc at the bottom of the back, unused, not even unwrapped :rotfl: (she was probably not the only one, boys are VERY different from girls :rotfl: )

I remember Guide Camp too - it was my first time away from home on my own and the other girls sewed my sheet up inside my sleeping bag so I couldn't get in!!!

Put me off Guides from then on in - I led a sheltered life;)  :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I heard on the Radio today that it is Squirrel Appreciation Day! Must go to Squizzs' diary and show my appreciation immediately.

It is also, evidently, Penguin Awareness Week....or is someone ttp?
