Sorry to hear that, they reduced it this afternoon
it's not the end of the world, I only filled up what I needed for today and tomorrow.
I'll pick up some more at the weekend!Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0 -
The price will keep falling in the next 6 to 8 weeks and will end up cheaper than it was before the rapid price rises started last year plus any extra duty that comes along...
Last year a barrel of oil price was hovering around $80 for a long time, it peaked at $147 this summer  .
At lunch time today it was $74.04, right at this moment it's $70.98.0 -
Is there any sort of graph with pump price versus oil cost? I presume we're paying more at the pumps now than we were when the cost per barrel was a similar price before?!
Apparently the big B is supporting reductions in petrol prices. I wonder why, cornering the market for a tax increase perhaps?!0 -
As a rough estimate based on this:
http://www.petrolprices.com/fuel-tax.html
we should see petrol go back below 95p per litre unless some extra duty gets added on. That 95p figure on this graph is based on a higher oil price than we have today, we need to wait the 6 to 8 weeks it takes for this new lower price to come through to the forecourts.0 -
I can't see the Government slapping on any more duty for a little while yet. They will be happy to see petrol prices going down at the moment as it adds a little tiny bit of financial feel good factor into the mix. In the grand scheme it means little but people are happy to see some prices going down.
Lets just hope the price drops get passed on quickly!0 -

anewman - this looks good for the price of petrol alone (up-to-date) and this for oil vs. petrol (only until Nov 2007)0 -

Are you sure it's the cheapest?
When I put supermarket diesel fuel in my car 3 times out of 4 I measure an increase in fuel consumption that makes it more expensive per mile than Total, Shell or BP that I use in my area.
Now I expect a torrent of posts about how supermarket fuel is just the same and BP supply Sainsbury's and so on.....0
