  • Today I have:

    Sent off my SAR request to Egg to claim back credit card charges (I think it should be a few hundred pounds);
    Sent of my Letter Before Action to Natwest over £380 worth of bank charges;
    Wrote to the broker who tied me into a 4 yr life policy at my last remortgage. I didn't need it then and don't need it now;
    Bought the entire 2nd season of 24 on DVD (all 8 DVDs) in a charity shop in Edinburgh for £2.99 (yes, I'm serious! £2.99!!!!);
    Bought my Papa the 'Tommy' hardback book which is about the British Army in WWI which cost £3 from a charity shop;
    Oh, and bought my godson a fake leather pilot style (think Tom Cruise in Top Gun) jacket with aviation badges across it in the BHF shop for £3.99!

    A fruitful day I think!

    And tonight I'm going to be picking the £300 worth of Berghaus gear I won on their website!!!
    Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

    We, well DD officially, have a horse - which sounds bad but is all relative as at the beginning of the year we had 3 horses:eek: . I had to give up riding end of last year when I had medical problems and then a hysterectomy. So now we just have the one.

    I guess the only crunch your dog cares about bathgate, is the winalot type!

    Fay - I have a grey fluffy somewhat thick moggy and a very hairy attitude ridden piebald hairy horse! Needless to say, the house seems to be full of animal hair - sigh...

    i have had today off and helped my parents with an internet problem - in return they have given me lunch and leftover veggie pie for tea tommorrow - my mum also drove me to tescos and i was able to do a decent shop and get it home - so i wont need to keep popping to the local shop for a bit. i have made tommorows packed lunch and its in the fridge, and a pan of soup is cooling in the kitchen.

    forgot to say tommorow should be a NSD- no lunch to buy and tea is in the fridge already.
    Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"
