  • Hi everyone, hope your all alright.
I have been to GP after a painful night and got another month off work, only was back monday and she said I shouldnt have gone back without going to see her first. Cant go back in a month until I have seen her again (and had my consultant appointment which is in a few weeks).
That gives me more time to do DFW/MSE stuff though.
    Today I will try to
    - give the house a bit of a clean, not cleaned for a few days (OH did washing up though, but need to hoover, clean bathroom, change sheets, clean the LO's toys etc)
    - try make it into town to post ebay parcel and buy wash cloths, sponges etc from wilko, cheaper than our local 7 - 11
    - might make a pan of stew if I can be bothered
  • Good Afternoon all,

    Today I have/will

    Cupboardy lunch/tea
Package eBay stuff using recycled materials
Clear out kitchen cupboards (never know what you find in the back of those :O)
Clear out clothing for the charity shop
    Check online banking
    Call Npower :(
No chocolate, cosmetics or clothes to be bought before xmas day 14! ~ NPower eBay target £541.67
  • Hi Sophiesmum - can I ask what spreadsheets you use? I would lke to start doing something like this I can update daily rather than re-printing out my budget sheet that I type out at the beginning of each month. Thank you xx

i m currently using a mix of the online spending diary, microsoft money and the mse spreadsheet set up by Eagerlearner which I downloaded from here somewhere,

    Have now found the link

    http://befirst.to/save/money-saving-spreadsheet.php

This is good :) nd www.spendingdiary.com is good for tracking daily spends.

Fayjmck - No excuse now for being lazy about the spreadsheets :) and they do get addictive so another displacement activity for when you don't feel like writing.
PS _ I am wearing bagpuss pink stripey socks today under my work clothes :)

    Hello all,

My first contribution to one of these threads...

    Today I have

    * Had the slightly stale heel of the bread toasted for brekkie
    * Had leftovers for lunch
    * Worked from home so no spending today
    * Resisted temptation to put heating on to speed up drying of bfs clothes so I can put mine out!

  • Afternoon all, well a good day today, got an unexpected tax rebate through for £229. Apparently I paid too much tax last year! So I am going to use it wisely and get a little treat today before uni. I am feeling quite anxious today too so need to work on that.
Well done Exerbusi on getting the overdraft down. That’s fab news, do it slowly and you wont be tempted to ruin the plan.
Painted lady, so sorry to hear you are poorly still. Sending lots of hugs to you and keep spirits up and smiles. Have a nice telly evening in and feel good.
I have many funky silly socks! I prefer my zebra ones or my spotty ones I got in primark!
Well im off to Camden for uni in a min, hope to feel less anxious, am back at work tomo so its proberly that, but I will be strong…
tasks for today other than uni..
-sort out student loan payment plan
-plan meals for next 3 days at work
    -sort out overtime over xmas

Lovely surprise with the tax rebate Tallie - :j - make sure you do have a little treat from it as you have been working so hard lately and made so much headway paying off your overdraft etc, and sorting out the car.:A

  • Late posting today. Took ds to orothontist this morning. Then he had a mcdonalds; to take away the taste of that lovely pink polyfilla they use to take molds of the teeth:rolleyes: . I have cut the intake down to once a fortnight. lol, but it did mean I did have time to do my lidl shop.

So what small things have I done/will do today.

Washing on economy 7 will have to dry on airer though
Got up at 5 to take dh to work so I could have car today, cheaper than catching a bus in this instance, and meant it didn't take all day to go to orothodontist.
Was going to allotment today as well but too wet. So I am baking this afternoon instead.
Will vaccuum pack some veg into stewpacks
    Will check online banking
    Done a Lidl shop, :j
Will price up 5 books for amazon, and list them if I have time

I am off to flylady thread to pick up my cleaning chores for the day
    Be back later:D
My finances are work in progress.
    Normal veiwing will resume shortly
