to be honest not really sure!!! it will be at one of the garden centre christmas grotto's... i guess it will be starting in november and apparently they provide your 'uniform'!! they do a crb check and like people to have been in customer service / entertainments... anyway i thought it would be worthwhile finding more out and i would love a job that is 'happy' and seeing all the kids after meeting santa must be great!!! i know that the soaps etc always portray dressing up jobs as horrid but hey i am not planning to dress up as a banana or anything else like that!!!!

will see if i get it (or even if i want to do it) and will keep you all posted!!
it's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:

  • Hello everyone and thanks to sophiesmum
Crickey, - this elf thing is exciting - when do we see the pics??

As I have been paid I've been distributing my hard earned dosh into small pots (some literally some still in bank) so I can see what I have left for month - which is looking a bit tight! Still, I must be positive because I can pay all DDs and have put some ready for expected expenses including the *!*!***!!! increased mortgage payment next month.
    Have also
    • applied for a job with more dosh!
    • am going to apply to move up at current work
    • got dinner all planned from meal plan and cupboard
    • received clubcard tokens to pay for DSs party
    • paid cheque into bank
    • saved petrol by not needing to go somewhere I thought i had to
    • still not turned heating on ( but OH did last night whilst I was at work and turned it off before I gt home because he felt guilty - obviously not guilty enough to do it in the first place lol)
    • will no doubt think of more - oh yes a NSD!!!!!Hurray

Have a great rest of the day everyone
    Belle

i m currently using a mix of the online spending diary, microsoft money and the mse spreadsheet set up by Eagerlearner which I downloaded from here somewhere,

    Have now found the link

    http://befirst.to/save/money-saving-spreadsheet.php

This is good :) nd www.spendingdiary.com is good for tracking daily spends.

Fayjmck - No excuse now for being lazy about the spreadsheets :) and they do get addictive so another displacement activity for when you don't feel like writing.
PS _ I am wearing bagpuss pink stripey socks today under my work clothes :)

Argh no excuses now, lol - well done on sock choice - mines are rainbow stripes - its a silly way to stick it to authority - as I hypothesised about the merits of biomass one of my work pals noticed my socks and was sniggering!!

Just in from beach, its horrible here - dogs walked, chum took girls in town today so another (thus far) NSD.

Still reeling from the silly overpayment from tax credits - I had to take the extra money out of the bank, and both banks counted the money, in used notes - then i felt really sad...............

DS making home made pizza for tea - yum , will read and add more later
I know wonder if I am secretly an elf with my secret stripey socks - think they should be named elf-socks!!

Goodluck with elf interview - those of you not feeling great then a big hug xx
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
