Also I've noticed that I can fast-forward live TV!?!?! So far I've watched back to back episodes of eastenders, and am up to mid-march '06. Phil and Sharon DO get it on by the way, oh and Sonia kisses Pauline in the Vic.
I also know what saturdays lotto draw will be, but that'd be telling.
lol.
I CAN predict, however, that you'll probably all follow my lead in returning the !!!!!! and getting a digifusion 200 for £60 more - r-e-l-i-a-b-l-e, and you can record two simultaneous channels and watch a recording at the same time...like a real PVR does.
happy new year!
When you went forward in time did you discover if/when Fusion updated the software to get rid of the aspect ratio bug and the other library loss/compression issues. OH and when did they introduce convenient advert skipping features like the Technosonic has and did they ever get rid of that horrible blotchy background on the OSD's?

Can this 9200 be used with Sky? I have no need for freeview but this still looks a pretty good price for a 160GB with TTs?0

It won't record from SKY, just from the built in Freeview tuners.0 -

I've had mine 2 weeks or so now and seems pretty solid. Its has locked twice in that time, not bad, having used a nokia, sagem and durabrand freeview box this seems more stable and is doing a lot more.
I have 2 recordings with a symbol beside them that there was a problem of some sort, I don't know what that is yet.
I've filled the disk 90+ percent in that time. Warns you. Scheduled programs reserve space.
It might fail but then it says it has a two year swap out warranty. Hopefully it will remain reliable.
If you've used computers for any length of time you'll know hard disks do fail so i'm keeping it away from other sources of heat. It has a fan in it and the whole box is silent from what I can tell.
The disadvantages with it are
- only 20 items can be scheduled at once
- you can't start watching a recording until it's finished. This probably adds to the stability. But you can pause the current channel and it buffers the last 120minutes of a watched channel so you can rewind if you miss something. If you change channel lose the buffer.
- the tv guide and find by genre functions are useful but limited, probably due not to being able to clearly display a mass on info on a tv screen, i like a paper tv guide still. the find only returns the first 100.
- The remote is massive, I can almost change the channels on the box just using it as a stick, it looks like a prototype. That said the button response has a really nice solid feel to it.
Subtitles are saved automatically and can be brought up on recordings.
It came with the latest software on it.
A 3 year old can access his programs on it, pause live tv and restart.
Can't think of anything else to say at the minute does the job nicely. Expensive look to it, it's not cheap, but its worth its money.

Thank you, its nice to get the pros and cons from someone who actually has the machine... From what ive read about this machine so far the pros seem to out-weigh the cons.
If anyone else has this machine your thoughts would be much appreciated..0
