just to say that i got 'jerky' television which would go on and off. it was fixed by turning the box on and off again.0

I think the upgrade has switched the PVR from just about usable to not bad for the price.
However, one of the reasons I bought the box was the promise in Aldi advertising of recording from two channels at once. This is obviously possible with software changes. Does anyone else think this?
I note that the paper manual does not cover two channel recording. I assumed that the electronic User Manual promised on p24 of the former would allow for functional enhancement as well as pure bug fixes. Was this wishful thinking or have I missed something?0 -
Since the upgrade the 7 day EPG on my unit now has two of everything! Better than having nothing, like before, but does take a long time to get through.

My machine told me it had been upgraded then rebooted itself. We have an Hitachi LCD , whose volume control now reboots the PVR and sets the volume to maximum !!!!
Is there a way of fixing it pleeeeeeaaaaase? (Before it goes out the window in a fit of rage)0 -
I was away from the 8th to the 17th of March, left my 101 on standby to record all the masterchef progs. Came home to find all had recorded except 15th and 17th (final typical, good job the VCR was set as well otherwise I would have been dead) left it on standby the night of the 17th and it found the update. Installed the update and did a reboot as suggested elsewhere and so far no problems.0

While a Timed programme was being recorded i tried to Time Shift another channel but it came up with No Signal. So had to miss a program while watching another off the TV direct. Obviously couldn't reset. At least my non recording of BBC channels now works, although i never noticed anyone else having this problem. I guess were now looking forward to V1.6! :rolleyes:0

What's the plan? I haven't been able to pick up this or the 1.1 update. If the 1.5 update stops it being returned I need some advice please.0 -
Interference between the TV remote control and the PVR is a non-trivial nuisance.
I do not understand the technology. Is the problem that the PVR cannot distinguish properly between 2 similar signals or has the same or an overlapping signal been used by the PVR? If the latter it cannot be fixed with a software update as the remote itself would require upgrading.
The main problem is that the PVR grabs the TV input whether you want it to or not. It should only do so automatically when you play a recording - as good VCRs used to.
Secondly, time shift recording is too easily interrupted. Asking for confirmation before doing so would eliminate any accidental interference - and would be useful in its own right.
Is their a way of sending such suggestions to the developers?0 -

I totally agree with you.
It's a pain!!
More annoying is that mine did not have this problem when I first got it so it is definately a firmware problem.0
