If you visit https://www.energylinx.co.uk - totally independent of TP, I think you'll find further confirmation that what I have said is correct.

If this is NOT the case, why is it that so many individuals have discovered to their annoyance that the other comparison sites reflect snippets that they want to show (i.e. not all tariffs) and differring results for the same data inputs?

This fact has been reflected by many posts on this site.

NB: To pick up on Martin's quote referring to companies screwing customers for profit (above): suggesting making a profit is wrong or immoral. Now, how many of you, including Martin can exist without associating yourselves with an organisation (whoever that may be) that makes no profit whatsoever (whether directly or indirectly)?

TP does not come out cheaper for me on gas or electricity, I check fairly frequently

Marks claim was

I think this is true.
However this does not always result is cheaper bills because of club fees and standing charges (as several of us know already).

Therefore I am a little confused as to what we are supposed to see at the energylinx site.

Having already engaged fully in the TP thread and said time and time again

TP may be the cheapest - it's worth checking its prices - but its not worth switching too unles sit is cheapest. I shall move on.

A quick note

My belief is we live in an adversarial consumer society. The fact companies try and make profits (or screw profits) out of us isn't wrong - it's right. It's what their job is - that way they make profits for their shareholders. The problem is - 'our job' - to stop them doing so is done poorly. I have no problem with profit. I just try to make sure they make as little out of me as possible.

I agree, but even in an adversarial situation there should be some rules about fair play (like there are in duels or even wars).

The claims that TPlus make can be misleading or simply wrong (depending on exactly how they are phrased - I've seen a few variations).

"our job" can only be done if presented with clear information and not overly complication, misleading or wrong information.

Surely as many have stated check all the comparison sites starting with Energylinx and you will find the cheapest supplier.

It is just obvious that you seem to want to start an arguement with Mark all the time .

It is something (not just with Mark) I have been accused of but I try and blend it with a good sense of humour now !

This is lacking at some stages depending on my pain levels .

It is a shame as you have been very helpfull in other areas , especially the T mobile thread.
