The sheer fact that Microsoft are rolling out a new operating system near the end of 2009 speaks volumes to me
What does that say? that they release a new OS every couple of years?
Like 95 (95), 98 (98), ME(2000), XP (2001), XP 64 (2003), XP Pro 64 (2005), Vista (2007)...I don't really know what you can read into the fact that they're going to...release a new OS a couple of after the last one...Tbh Vista was slow coming and rather poorly received, so I don't think anyone should be surprised if they make a second stab at it fairly soon...0 -
Well ok
Ill change that to
The fact that Microsoft had such MAJOR backlash to Vista speaks volumes to me.
(XP 64 though is only for the 'elite few' that can actually use it when they came out ~ far as im concerned, its XP still, and has been out quite a while now):idea:0 -
Here's a more accurate way to look at things:
NT 3.1 - 1993
NT 3.5 - 1995
NT 4.0 - 1996
NT5 (2000) - 2000
NT5.1 (Windows XP) - 2001
NT6 (Vista) 2006
NT7 (Windows 7) - 2009/10
The issues in the development of Vista that caused the delay has caused people to think that Microsoft's release schedule for operating systems leaves longer inbetween each revision than actually intended.0 -
I use IE7, I did try IE 8 (beta) but uninstalled it as didn't work with certain sites I need for work purposes (not even in compatibility mode!).My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0
