  • Having another panic! This time it's Gap (again!). Just ordered a pizza delivery and had to agree to a meal deal - in as much as the bloke said it will cost x but what you've ordered is what's required for a meal deal so it will cost you x instead. I couldn't refuse without alerting suspicion!

Are Gap going to be awkward about this? I notice it says don't use coupons but I can't see anything about don't use a meal deal - I've ordered exactly what the instructions tell me to. How could I refuse a couple of quid knocked off the bill without looking odd? It's already costing me more than the reimbursement so a little off the bill is nice (although still costing more than the reimbursement). I don't think I'll be doing these again - too much hassle!

Has anyone else come across this please?

oh no i am doing one as well tonight. I was going to order the items that would cost more than the reimbursement but if its going to be ut through as a meal deal , I don't want to risk it. BuT i know what you mean S cat, when you are on the phone ordering, you kind of do feel a bit silly saying No. Just wait for when you get the receipt and see what it says , then wait for GAP to pull you up on it.

I know this has been mentioned before but this time I am going to make a note of it, whats the site where you can find whats next door ?

On mine, I don't have a choice about ordering items that cost more than the reimbursement... the notes tell me exactly what I have to order and that comes to more than the reimbursement anyway. As far as I can tell you aren't allowed to order anything extra.

I don't see how I could refuse the meal deal without looking suspicious - it's not as if he was saying order one more item and you can get a meal deal, he just said what you've already ordered is a meal deal.

Good luck with yours. Hope you enjoy the food anyway.

Has anyone managed to log into Retail Eyes this week? When I submit my email address and password it just brings me back to the same page, no error message but I can't 'get in' as it were. I see others have had an issue but has anyone found out why its playing up?

Thanks S_cat, enjoys yours also. Have you looked over the notes, does it say do not get a deal, i've just looked on the notes and I can't see anywhere where its says no deal, but I'm just going to stick to the items. I sometimes wonder if they don't want you to get the meal deal so they can spot us as MS. Who else would say no, when they say something like for 10p more you can get double the food !!

This happens to me every time I log on Retails Eyes using IE - I have to input it again & it goes through OK.

If I use Firefox, I can log on immediately though.

This happens to me on my laptop, but not on my desktop - no idea why, tho.

When you do log in now on RE there is an explanation about not being able to search and then 2nd line from the bottom, it says "click here" to find out how to define your areas, alternatively if you go into details you can also add areas in there.

I'm just worried about the ones that only used to show up when you did a search and don't show up in your defined area, or weren't we meant to see those for some reason?

RE have set up a newer version of the site that they are trialling perhaps thats why you can't log on.

The message that Josie was seeing was there earlier this week, I clicked it not to show again and then today have been asked if i want to trial the new version of the site. I think it looks easier and better to find what you want personally.

P.S - I haven't had any problems logging on this week.

  • hi, i logged on today to be asked if i would be willing to try there new website where you are allowed to add up to 10 postal addresses/postcodes this apparently gives you a wider choice, but now you cant type in a location and do a search!!!

Never mind, it does look better tho!!:o
  • Is there a known problem with using BARE briefing notes on a Mac? I'm finding that apparently clickable links are not clickable so I can't access all the info needed for the job.

How do I cancel a job with BARE? This one just looks too in depth - I'm supposed to look up all sorts of details myself and since the links aren't working for me, I can't get the info. I've already asked them to cancel this job (for a different reason) but they just told me not to worry. Please help - I really don't want to do this job but don't want to anger them.
