The tax return thing - yes, I'm self employed in my main job, and when you submit details online, I'm almost sure its 31 January - but talk to the Inland Revenue to check! You don't want to get a fine, and its a simple phone call, after all.
I'm still wanting to check out RE's policy on jobs cancelled late on the day by their client....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Also do I have to work out the tax that I owe or will the tax office do it for me? I have not submitted it yet. I am going to working on it over the weekend so there will be lots of question that I might be asking.
Yes you do have until January and when you complete the form online it automatically works out the tax you owe although this is also due to be paid by end Jan.

I don't know about anyone else but RE are really beginning to bug me with their proof reading. I'm fed up phoning them. eg "You didn't say what condiments you had with your drink". " I had a beer. There were no condiments" Derrr. Now they are saying questions are not answered when the job was submitted with nothing showing in unanswered questions. A lot of the questions are silly anyway and just repeat what has gone before. Don't they have anything better to do.0

I would email and state that you had already left to do the job and so you expect to be paid the fee.
I had this problem with a refurb and after a few emails the money has now appeared to be paid on the 15th, so you might have to chase it but I reckon they should pay!Sealed pot Member target £200 - No. 151

Thanks princess leia - thats what I thought, and I've only just started with RE, so its good to know.
And, just on chris357's comments, yes, RE seem incredibly pernickety. Hi ho.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi all
Just signed up with Blueapple, or so I thought. When I clicked apply I seemed to be signing up with Mystery Outsoure??? Is this normal, or have I signed up with a totally different company than I thought I was signing up with. I know the blue apple site says they share their data.
Just wondering as a few have suggested Blueapple is a good company0 -
RE have now changed it so you cannnot search for a town; and even though I am in Liverpool they only show me bloody London and Oxford jobs. Will be ringing them in a few hours.0

RE .... when I got home after not being able to do a job, there was an email in my inbox (timed 5.30pm!) saying the client had decided not to go ahead with the job - I was scheduled to do it any time between 4.30pm and 7pm. I was there, took pictures to prove it, and have sent them the pix, and asked for some level of reimbursement, as I did actually go there, never mind the fact that they cancelled it so late. What are my chances, does anyone know?
Knowing RE - no chance! They are tight, tight tight. sorry!:rolleyes:Save me from spending...

I already know all of that. BUt what I am saying is that I live in Liverpool and despite my address being registered as Liverpool, so an "L" postcode, and despite my defined area being within 50 miles of this postcode, I don't know why i can ONLY see London and Oxford jobs. This is why I always ysed to use the search function as when I click on Available Assignments I can and could only see London and Oxford area, which is no good to me.0
