  • Help! This Gap report just won't go through. It keeps saying I have selected a contradicting response, but I don't know what I need to change and of course I can't get in touch with Gap. Any ideas?

Is it a stamp shop one?

The one that always catches me out (and it's damned confusing) is something along the lines of did they offer you anything else and if you look yes they offered me x and yes they offered me y are on there several times, for instance options a) f) p) and x) all say the same but only one of those options actually relates to your scenario - so just try selecting one of them in turn til it accepts.

Sorry, if it's not that, then you'll have no clue as to what I'm talking about. I've had that in the past where you have to choose the wrong answer and I've always just put the comments in the very last box to say it wouldn't let me select answer no.1 so I've chosen this, but this is what I really wanted to say.

Thanks Josie. No, it wasn't a stamp shop - it was a drive thru fast food thing. It said what did you order, and you tick a box with the meal you chose, but it wouldn't accept anything I ticked - said it was a 'contradicting' answer but wouldn't tell me WHAT it was contradicting!

I was getting really angry and tried all kinds of alternatives, altering other answers along the way to see what would fit! In the end I de-selected the food so it looks like we ordered nothing at all, and surprise surprise, it accepted that!

Needless to say Gap still haven't responded to my email enquiries. You'd think if they insist on submission of reports within 8 hours, they'd have someone on hand to help when their system messes up.

Oh, and now it's on a 'pending' system because I didn't say everything was wonderful - they'd only run out of bloomin' food and we had to wait 20 mins while they cooked up a new lot!
  • I done three jobs for RE yesterday afternoon and am now reminding myself exactly why everyone hates filling in their questionnaires.

Ive done a few for them already so i'm getting quite good at it now:rolleyes: its just irritating the amount of what seems to be completely pointless information that they need from me.

Cut and Paste - if the jobs are for the same client, do one report first - save bnut dont submit. Open a new window with the 2nd and 3rd job and copy the stock answers from the first report for the generic questions - saves masses of time.

    Hi everyone

I have just gone to print the questionairre for an assignment I have on friday but the job notes and questionaire are missing when I print preview. Is it worth emailing gap or should I just cancel?

    Thanks Peridot.

You are using IE, aren't you? Gap are one of the delightful companies that don't acknowledge any other browsers exist - use of other browsers will corrupt their data.

Easiest way to download your instructions is from their website, under my assignments. The assignment notes aren't usually available until quite shortly before the assignment is due to be done (so you may be trying too early).

Good idea, but safer still to do it in word, so that if their website goes down (a regular occurrence, lately) you don't lose the lot. And you will have the answers for next month/time!
