Aba-i money just dropped through the letter box! :j Four separate envelopes again - all for jobs done within two days of each other, and for the same company!!

I've had 9 envelopes from Aba-i over the last two days, you would really think they could do this in a more efficient way. That said, I like receiving cash, seems more 'real' than a figure dropping into my bank account and getting instantly eaten by my bills!

I know - I'm the same!! I'm just off out to do a few more jobs, and the shopping centre is really nice, so I may just treat myself, or I could pay it into the bank..........................................nah!!!

Help please! Does anyone remember me complaining about the Gap drive-thru that they asked me to do. Didn't want to but found it hard to say no. Then I couldn't get a receipt.

Well, as expected, it's come back with a query... but on reflection it's probably a legitimate one. Hubby was doing the timings for me, and he told me the total from order to delivery was 6mins. They are querying this and now that I've checked with hubby he thinks he may have started timing when we reached the main menu board. I stopped to read that, so it will have added to the time. But I'm not sure how much exactly. Can't have been more than about 2 mins, and then there was a delay at the order point because I was querying why I couldn't get a receipt etc.

Does anyone have any advice on how I should reply to Gap? If I say deduct 2 mins, (that still leaves the total at 4 mins) and explain that the bulk of the delay was due to me being unhappy at not getting a receipt, will they accept that?

EDIT: Not quite sure how to answer because the email quotes my original response which said the delays was due to me asking about the menu and querying why I didn't get a receipt - and says 'not including the reasons above' how long was the total? So, does it mean, how long would it have been if I hadn't stopped to talk?

I think it's just one of those situations where you have to hold your hands up and say a mistake has been made. Since they ask for accurate timings you can't really just deduct a guessed time....
Are you even allowed to have someone with you for these jobs?

Haha, same here! I've decided to go get my hair cut and maybe something to wear, the bank is not getting a sniff of this cash! :j

Don't know - I didn't notice anything in the brief to say I couldn't. I've done this company before and hubby has always been with me.

Anyway, I've emailed them with my comments so will just have to see what happens. It's especially annoying since I didn't even want to do the job, I just didn't have the guts to say no on the phone. That's a lesson for the future!

You are meant to do these jobs alone, you can't even take a child or baby with you, so whatever you do, don't tell Gap that your husband was doing the timings for you or they won't pay you at all.

I've had 3 this week, and like you, am appalled that it takes 3 sheets of paper, 3 letters printed, 3 envelopes and 3 lots of postage when it could easily be bulked together. Maybe they could pay us more if their overheads weren't so high!

Thanks for that. I can't see anything in the notes to say that, though. This isn't the place with the golden arches, does that make a difference?
