Thanks for all the replies on bookies for Gap

But you know when you have to answer the questions, then hit submit to see if you're suitable?? Well I submitted my answers without realising one of them had changed (never clicked away from the drop down bit so it was still highlighted - rookie error I know).
Then all the jobs that had been on offer vanished when it went back to the search page. The company (young man whose got no cash) isin't even shown on the drop down of clients.
Worse bit for me is that I had just finished typing my report up on one I'd done that morning (didn't win thought).

So if anyone has a contact number or secret email, I be most grateful

I had read them, over & over, but it just wasn't sinking in. My problem being I was actually doing the visit in my head an arrived at timimg point 1&2 at the same time.
    Your expaination has helped me.

Best example I can think of is this way for actual times:

    a - Stop in queue
    b - Arrive at window
    c - Offer greeting
    d - Order Total
    e - Receive food

If there is no queue, then a can be the same as b

If you are offered greeting as soon as you arrive at the window, then c will be 1 or 2 seconds only. It can't be the same as a or b as you would have to have someone hanging out the window shouting hello at you as you pull up! But I know myself it can be quiet and you get offered service immediately, so 1 second suffices.

d and e can never be the same.

Out of curiosity, its not Castlemilk is it?!

Best bet is to just email an enquiry to Gap and state you would like your questions reset as you made an error in filling them out. If they cant or wont, then give it a few months as they do go through the questions again every few months to see if you are still suitable or not as the case may be.

There are a good few contacts on the team but in all honesty, you need to wait for them to make the first move so they get to know you on the phone etc. if you just emailed out of the blue whitout ever having spoken to them, i guess they might just block you.

Oooh, the driving ones do my head in. And then you have to explain why you had those timings. I find things like 'time taken to roll down window', 'time taken to give money and receive change', 'time taken to drive between payment window and food window' all help, but I don't half get flustered! Checking the times, looking for namebadges, ordering the food, paying for it, and not crashing the car! MSing ain't for wimps, I tell you!

I always find hiding the 'timing device' really tricky on a drive thru but preparing before you drive in is alwasy funny. I tend to stop just before I get there, have a fiver in my sun visor ready to use, window pre-wound down, phone hidden in the arm rest, cup holder empty ready for the drink and then try not to crash the car as you speed away from the collection point to stop them taking your reg number to check up on you if they suspect you - Yes that's happened before!

If I could find a car manafacturer thats builds a stop watch into the dashboard clock that would be perfect!

I am with you blindman on this. I did a job tonight for JfK which had X 10 the fee RE pay.
I have done a lot of work for both. The only time GFK pays 10 X RE fee is for mortgage/ financial interviews which take one hour to complete, sometime require two trips and have 10 page report to complete.
On average GFK pays 2.5 X RE fee.
