Also, the assignment says I have to buy something for which I will not be reimbursed but I am free to return it later. I was pleased to have taken this job until I read all the notes, now I feel I'm being taken advantage of. What do you think?
I should probably add, I don't usually shop in these stores so have no use for a gift voucher - I'd rather have the cash to spend where I choose.
So it's two trips to town (one to do the assignment and one to return the item I had to purchase), and the only recompense is a voucher to spend in a store I never shop in. I think I'll have to cancel the job - but I would appreciate comments. What do the rest of you think?
I have done quite alot for Abai but always got cash in the post. Which store are you doing?0 -

Has anyone asked for and received details of their payments from GAP. When I check what I have got paid it never matches up with what I have expected to get paid and when they don't send you details of what you have been paid it's a bit difficult to know what you have or have not been paid for.
Surely they should have to supply us with detailed information of the paid work?“A banker is the fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining and wants it back the minute it begins to rain.” Mark Twain0 -

If it's the ABAi group I think you mean - a clothes shop for larger ladies? - the Gift Card isn't only for there, you can spend it in more trendy stores as well (I've PM-ed you the details so you can make your mind up before you cancel it!)
I did 2 of these jobs the other week in different towns, then took the purchased items back to a 3rd store the following week. I've now got 2 nice gift cards which I will spend in one of "the other" stores that you can use them in.
All the other ABAi jobs I've ever done have been paid in cash. I guess it just depends on what the retailer wants to do.

If you go into your list of assignments with Gap on their site, you can see what they have paid you for. I keep a spreadsheet of jobs I've done, and go through the 2 of them ticking off what has been paid. Simple! We’ve had to remove your signature. Thanks, I'll try that and see if it matches up.“A banker is the fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining and wants it back the minute it begins to rain.” Mark Twain0 -

It is the store you are thinking of (I've replied to your PM, by the way). I suspect those trendy shops are too trendy for the likes of me! :rotfl: I haven't shopped in those places for about 20 years!
If you shop there, I guess it's fine... but since I don't, I'm looking at it the other way and it seems to me like the retailer is in a win/win situation here.0 -
How annoying, I really want to get a few again, managed to get three last month0
