Went to the stamp shop to post stuff back to two MS companies. One was freepost but too big to go in the box outside, and the other had to go special delivery. The lady read both addresses and then got super efficient. I know all the terms and conditions of special delivery now, and I've been offered quotes on home, car, life and travel insurance, home phone, currency and a credit card. I think she just about to offer me the shirt off her back when I made my exit. I bet she thought I was MS'ing her :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

I did a couple of the Gap travel agents - was only in the places for about 30 mins and the report was quite easy. I know the fee was rubbish, but it wasn't too onerous a task... the only hassle has been the phone calls from the TAs asking if I've decided on a hotel yet!

You're absolutely right. The report was easy and to be fair the job itself wasn't difficult - it was just annoying to spend an hour listening to details of a holiday I can't possibly afford!! Thinking about it, I often do jobs where I'm in the place for an hour, in fact I did an electrical shop this morning which took almost an hour (mind you about a third of that was spent browsing and waiting for someone to approach me)!!

I think I'm just feeling stressed and run down this week, so it niggled me. Plus, the woman kept answering the phone and talking to other customers while she was serving me (in the travel agent). The other staff seemed to be giving their customers their full attention, so I was a bit peeved that maybe her constant distractions made it take longer than it needed to. AND there was a coffee machine in the room but she never offered me one!

Anyway, if there's anyone out there who hasn't dropped off to sleep reading my rant... can I say something and ask yet another question.

Firstly - a big thank you to everyone who helps me and talks to me. I find this a very lonely sort of profession - which kind of suits me cos I'm a well known miserable cow ;), but seriously, not having face to face colleagues to ask when I get stuck, means I really appreciate the people here. Also hubby gets that glazed look on his face when I try to talk to him about what I'm doing.

Okay, now the question, about the RE casino job. Do I need a receipt to show how much I've spent? I assume I pay for the meal and drinks, then use cash to buy the chips... do I just ensure I only spend up to the reimbursement amount, and do I need a receipt?

Can't you persuade your hubby to join you in the wonderful world of MS??? :rotfl:

For casino jobs you'll only be able to get receipts for the food & drinks at the bar. The amount you spend on gambling is up to you... ;)

So how do I claim the money back off RE? Do you just enter the total reimbursement amount and it's irrelevant whether I've spent more or less?

Basically, yes... just send them the receipt(s) for your food and drinks.

Their stuff shows as "pending" for ever. Don't ever go by that. They've probably allocated it to someone else by now. You never find out if you've been refused or not with Bare.

That's great - thanks! Bit scared - I've always fancied a bit of gambling (not been able to pick up any bookies jobs on Gap unfortunately), but I'm a bit worried I'll get carried away with it!

OMG! Has anyone seen the credit card jobs on TNS? They require you to visit 8 outlets and take pictures of their windows to see if they have a display in them. They say it would take about 1 to 2 hours. And then there's the filling in the report and downloading 8 pictures and you probaby have to do your left and rights as well. So I'd say 3 and half hours all up. For the princely sum of guess what? A FIVER! (not for each visit but for all 8!) Brilliant. Quick everyone, jump to it! :p

You sure about that? My screen shows a higher fee.

Oh, just looked at a couple and they all have different fees. How odd.
