In my excitement, I forgot to ask the lovely lady who called from BARE this morning - any ideas when they'll be paying me for these car jobs?

You have to do their phone recording test. It's a bit of a carry on (well it was for me because I use a Mac and the software isn't compatible!)
I recorded on my mobile phone, transferred to the pc and then converted to .mp3
Wasn't too difficult, and was much easier than faffing about with a microphone that I haven't used in years!

It was near the top, but after you have assigned one it will change to you do not qualify for self assign status. But you can apply and occassionly if they need it covered you will be allocated an additional one or two.

Okay, let me rephrase that... it was messy for me because I'm a Luddite!!!

I don't have a microphone. I don't think my mobile phone records and what the heck is an mp3??????!!!!

  • I was with a client (not MS related) the other night and she said that she has a friend who does MSing for a certain supermarket - every week. Yes, the same branch every week! He has to go in and do his weekly shop and visit the deli counter and cake counter etc and interract with the staff and then he gets his shopping for free. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this before? Sounds odd. Comments please! :D

Before you all start PMing me and asking what Supermarket it is, I'll give you a clue. It's the former Prime Minister's wife's surname. You should all know that one. ;)

How long do payments usually take to come through from ABA-i, and is it different for the different clients?
I have just received payment for one job which I carried out a week later than another, but I haven't received payment for the previous one yet.

Sounds like your payment may have gone astray. Let them know you haven't received it and they'll probably send you a replacement cheque.

They don't send cheques - they send cash in the post which is even more worrying. I haven't received payment for the ones I have done earlier this month either.

Is it work for the same client? I do work for two separate clients and sometimes get payment for doing a job after I did another one. Best to give them a call though just in case.
