Just wondering if it is acceptable to do ms jobs where I appear to have made a loss on paper due to the mileage? I've done quite a few in the last week where the mileage outstrips the income.

Absolutely! If you're the sort of person like me, and someone else who posted recently who mainly do it for the "perks" / "freebies" then these jobs are great because they reduce the amount of tax you have to pay.

Roughly, my "income" from MS'ing last tax year was £750 and my expenditure about £700, hence I'm only paying tax on £50

I have 2 casino jobs this Fri and Sat. Someone ( not a MS'er) told me you get a free £15 to play with when you join. AND if you each stick money on roulette and 1 picks red and the other black you can't lose.

Is this correct as I know nothing about roulette or blackjack etc.

Hoping one of you lot from Gamblers Anonymous can advise here. ( Like Josie who seems quite expert to me).

Hi HP, much as I hate to be seen to be the gambling expert on here :o , I think you've picked a great option in doing the black and red combo, because although, as already pointed out you can lose - the odds are definitely in your favour and you'd have to be very unlucky for zero (green) to come up, there being 37 numbers - 18 red, 18 black and just the one green.

You could always put £7 on red and £7 on black and £1 on zero, as obviously you get a much better return on zero, being a 1 in 37 chance and that way you definitely can't lose!

    Enjoy!

I'm catching a flight from Birmingham next week...first time flying in 2 years!! So it's a rare occasion...managed to snag one airside visit but I really wanna get more! There were quite a few available a few weeks ago, and now it's so annoying because quite a few Manchester airsides keep showing up for me, but no Birmingham :,<
Pleeeeeease RE, put up a load of airside visits for Birm!!!

Your wish has been granted - one for Brum on RE now.

None for Manchester though where I'm going from in a couple of weeks - where can you see them? TNS don't seem to do Manchester airport and none on RE at the mo?

It tends to have a bit of a lull from mid-Feb to April. My personal opinion is that everyone is counting the pennies remaining in this year's budgets!

Also, I remember someone saying this time last year, that the clients renegotiate their contracts around this time - end of financial year approaching and that there's usually a bit of a lull around now.

sounds ok to me - the mileage is what it is  its not like you are extracting the urine claiming for costs that have not been incurred or anything.

Never seen that phrase before Jessi :D Thanks for the advice josie and jessie :) ...and whitelabel :) Just didn't want my tax return to look fishy!

I've got 17 jobs (mainly the last of my Gap stuff :D) until mid-March including 11 over two days at the start of March (why do I do this to myself!) but it is definitely quiet.

The closes I've got to what you're using is using Google Chrome on a PC which uses the Safari engine and it works absolutely fine.
