Have done a few burger jobs for GAP over the past few weeks, but probably selected a wrong answer in error (while answering the few questions which popped up before taking on further assignments), and now the burger jobs are no longer visible in my account. Any ideas how to get this sorted? I'm sure someone else would have some experience with a similar situation with GAP ....

Yet again, they manage to make us look like complete lunatics ! You could just hand it over and run

Awwww! I was so looking forward to revealing myself and doing a Jeremy Beadle style speech at the end like in Beadle's About ;)

You've been the victim of a mystery shop!!!

Hello I've just been given 2 burger jobs for GAP and now I'm pooping myself :rotfl:
I'm sure I'll balls up the first one :o am I being silly? (be nice, I'm pregnant :D)

I'm also a bit peeved that the golden arches people say I can't take anyone with me including babies/children :( I was hoping to get some jobs done with toddler in tow  anyone know if that is a common thing or just them being fussy? MSing was supposed to be an easy way for me to get some spare pennies as I'm a SAHM

:rotfl: That's so funny :rotfl: As an added incentive, I will give £5 to anyone who does and runs away of the store and down the street with their arms flying about in the air!

I think that the staff check the CCTV afterwards with those jobs so I wouldnt take children with you. I've seen it in a few jobs but fast food places are the worst. Some specify that you have to take children with you - for family pubs etc.

Hi SB - I'm on maternity leave and take the baby on most of my jobs. The only ones I can't are the burger jobs with GAP and there's a phone company with GFK that you can't take anybody else with you. Apart from that you should be fine. I think the reason GAP say no children/babies is that you have to record timings down to the second and having children with you may distract you from an accurate timing. HTH

The burger ones are an absolute no-no, 100%. Every job I've done which hasn't scored 100% has checked CCTV and all try it on in some way, by saying you took too long paying or the timing wasn't accurate.

And I don't think it's a normal thing with MSing but I can't be certain which ones....
  • I did 3 of these black envelope ones around the middle of last year and we were allowed to say that we were Mystery Shoppers and "Congratulations for recommending XXX phone, you have been awarded a prize". Funny that they've changed it. Is it with TNS? The prize was really good too. It was a £50 voucher for a department store.
  • If your desperate for a burger they do do a 5-7pm slot so maybe your DH/DP could look after the kids when you pop out!!! As long as it's local though. I woudn't go out of my way for it mind due to the fees that you actually get paid.
