Snap ellie, It has taken me well longer than I bargained for. Every orifice has to have a detailed explanation. Never again, it will go in the bad memory box. I only did it for the measly fee & the fact it was local. I don't even have a pet lol. Bought a cat toy for next doors brood! Only spent £1.95 but it didn't say minimum spend....... did it?? hmmm off to read brief again.... Oh god, I hope not!
Too true. It was totally unreasonable (I was whinging about it last night). I had 3 reports to do but by the time I'd finished that one I'd lost the will to carry on:(

Don't worry I'm sure there was no minimum spend but RE will only reimburse what you actually spent:rolleyes:

All Jan jobs will be paid at the end of Feb; it's the same every month: completed jobs are paid the end of the following month. HTH

Thanks! That sounds familiar now that you mention it! I think it's time I logged off, I'm so tired I can't think straight!

    Thanks!

Ahhh that's where you're wrong you see- due to their low level of interest in mystery shopping itself, this is the sort of thing they spend their time doing; ask Hollypear! It's probably one of the few things they're good at, too.

Oh- and designing extra (less) functionality on their website :rotfl: ;)
It wouldn't surprise me. They do like to call me and waste time asking moronic questions, and listing jobs that never materialise.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi

Is anyone else having trouble on RE with MP3 recordings? When I click on Listen to MP3 to verify that it is correct, the website kicks me out! I hope we are not in for a weekend like last weekend!!! Anyone else suffering the same?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes! I just logged in to do the report and an email popped in saying there was technical problems. Tech people are aware & working on it. Keep trying over the weekend, if no joy, they will sort it Monday.

Wonderful  I needed to get that out of the way. Got three jobs tomorrow & two monday morning, but I am travelling south Monday and wanted to be on my way as soon as I had got the little GAP reports done.

My MP3 recording was for a holiday firm. I had to phone them when I first tried to do it cos their instructions were totally wrong, now this

    SPC 9 (2016) #485 TOTAL £84
    SPC 10 (2017) # 485 TOTAL: £464.80

Indeed Timmne you & I know they snoop on here. Or they have spies on here. Some posters via PM's know my 1st name and it isn't Holly!!! My dog's name is Holly. The bit where they have your name on their site when you log in well mine suddenly changed to xxxxx also known as yyyyyyyyyy. Made me sound like Al Capone.
I do the odd job for them but ONLY IF it suits me not them. Their fees are rubbish as is often case with their website. IMHO they are the worst thing to have hit the MS world.

Has anyone done the bank job with GfK where you buy Euros and exchange them back same day. I did it today and the exchange rate meant I lost £12 in the exchange. Does the fee reflect this or will I be compensated for this.

    TIA

I dunno, I've only been with GapB a while (was with them a long time) and it seems way too much hassle for £4ish. Filling in their assignments is just a nightmare trying to be more clever than it is. Perhaps if they spent less time faffing about that and more time in creating briefs that actually make sense....

My absolutely fave has to be GRG, things are a bit dry with them at the moment but their briefs are relatively simple and surveys are pretty quick to fill out unlike Gap who want to know what colour underwear the assistant was wearing (only for it to throw up an error "You chose Red underwear, but it's a Thursday, please amend your answer".
  • Hollypear, as I understand it, the extra fee is because you had to use a fair bit of your own money. You will get the money back you lost in the transactions when GfK receive your 2 receipts. "You will not be out of pocket in any way" say GfK. They do not pay for travel expenses though which could be significant if you had to visit twice.
