I hope GAP get the contract as the amount of work you have to do for the RE one is ridiculous for the fee they pay. I won't do the RE ones on principle. Plus GAP pay you the full reimbursement even if you spend less;)

I did my first job for GAP recently and my report went in at most 30 minutes. No lengthy comments etc and the questionnaire is survey like. Same report for RE would probably take a couple of hours. I did feel guilty after the GAP report that I hadnt been able to provide more info.

This makes me think, if I was the client I would definitely prefer RE reports because you get so much feedback for same money. Also, the RE reporting system seems more computerised and it probably provides the client with instant analysis of data. My hunch is Re will probably bag the more prestigious clients based on their feedback mechanism.

re give us the same money - god only knows how much the clients give them - i think it's only us shoppers that lose out by having to complete the lengthy questionaires.

I did the last of my station jobs and will never do those again, comments needed everywhere - i wrote over 350 words for the report ! There are only 2 jobs I am going to keep doing for RE - the japanese place (i love the food)and the other sandwich place that doesn't need a photo.
Still don't get the point of the photo - you get a receipt with the address on so they know where you have gone ! And won't be doing any jobs where the brief requires you to look like a complete idiot by asking stupid questions

I got to do a MS with RE at a Spanish restaurant. It is not part of the normal ones which specify that you cant buy certain stuff but just says to main meals. Does Tapas count as a main meal or do you think I have to buy a more expensive dish which are around £20.00. Cant contact RE because apparently it is snowing.;)
First ever win: Samsung Genio Touch Mobile Phone!!

Wow, I just looked at the menu online, its a tough question as most of the items they sell are tapas. I saw the mains you are talking about - and it says they are for sharing so can't imagine 2 people can eat 2 of those, so I would just have one of those and some tapas. Maybe someone else will have a better idea as I have never done one of these jobs.
  • Just wondering if anyone on here has filled in a HC1 form for healthcare costs?

You have to mention about all work you do (mystery shopping is my only source of income) and it asks how many hours you work and asks for a copy of accounts for the financial year ending within the last 12 months.

For the hours worked, I'm really unsure what to put as I do hardly any MS work really! And I only started MS towards the end of last year...do I just print out my database of income/expenses as my 'accounts' ?

    Appreciate any advice :) Thanks

marko the MS companies really dont like us naming the companies we work for in public - they might as well broadcast it to their competitors this way! Most of the companies you agree not to publicise info when you sign up to their T&Cs so you might want to remove it from your post.
