I have had more jobs in the last few weeks than I had in months (which isn't hard as I had none ) But alot less than last year....not seen any really on RE...all gone in a flash now

have you seen the picture of re head office on the website?

doesn't look like there is enough snow to keep them off work for two whole days!!

And if one of them can get in and manage to take a photo, there's no reason the others can't !

RE's HQ is about 5 miles from my house, and yeah we have snow, but hubby's entire company of 600 emplyees made it in !!

Gfk are after people for video MS. You must have your own video equipment & a full driving license - that rules me out then!

It's for car dealerships & says pay & expenses are good & can involve test drives etc. so someone out there may be interested.

Don't know if someone has already posted on here or Alerts - just got in after a busy MS day around Glasgow & saw the email.

PS. Just read the rest of the email & if you're interested but don't have video equipment contact them anyway!

I am fed up with GFK. I was doing a bank visit today for them. I rang them and asked if they could check the bank would be open because the snow is awful. They said it was up to me to find that out and after 6 phone calls all of which were automated answers I gave up trying to find out.
I couldn't reschedule as it is close to the end of it's time span and I only shop on certain days and I work too.
So I walked into town which took 40mins in the the freezing wet cold. The bank was closed. When I rang they just said they would release it for someone else to do. Obviously I argued this as I had printed off all the info and tken the test and walked in and assessed the external bits. So they said they would give me £3.

I was cold and not happy and I pointed out I was going to have turn around and walk 40mins home and if they thought this was acceptable then I wanted it writing please. in the end they gave me £6. Half the fee. I am still disgusted to be honest. All the other banks were open and I told them this. Surely that is useful data to give back to the company! Surely I held up my side of the bargain.:mad:

I would not have bothered ringing them and just entered the report and where it says "Could you complete this assessment in one visit?" - or similar wording, I would have said no and stated the reason why. That way you have still entered your report and got your fee. You could have commented on the window displays and external ATM, whether the outside was clean and clear of any litter.
I am surprised at GfK's response to this but I suppose they don't have any proof that you walked 40 minutes in the snow and back, you could have driven for 5 minutes and lied. Sorry to be devil's advocate here but you have to look at it from their side, they probably get loads of MS'ers that try it on - even though I can tell by your tone you are genuine. :hello:
