Hi,I did my first job last night for RE.It was a nightclub job but I was supposed to get a debit card receipt but I tried on the door and at two bars but they didn't accept payment by card. The best I could think of was to take a photo of the cloakroom ticket before I handed it in.Does anyone know what RE will do because it was a horrendous place and hope I get the payment for it.

Just explain what happened. They shouldn't be any problems exce[ting it as long as you put the information needed and anything else that is relevant. Email the assignment contact to fill them in too,

Did you try spending 5 pounds at the bar? I did and got my transaction put through first time. I'd put your report in and hope for the best and point out you tried spending 5 pounds at both bars and refused a receipt... Don't forget the 12 oclock deadline
  • Yes spend more than five pound at both bars and tried on way in.I've put in the report now so will just have to keep fingers crossed

I attempted to do my first gfk assignement today

the instruction where to wait 10 minutes for a member of staff tto come upto me and they didnt so i left and came back l8er and they still where slowly dealing with customers - so i waited 15 mins in the queue that had formed and then left

im going to call gfk regarding this tomorrow - today is sunday they are not working i guess- are they likely to want me to re visit the store as clearly i had spent 45 mins on that job anyway hanging around and then coming back l8er - do they take this sort of thing into consideration with regard to payments or is it a case of tough luck?

    Hiya,
What did the instructions say in regards to waiting? Was it just "wait for 10 mins til a member of staff approaches you" or did it also say "if they did not, approach them"?
  • Legally, they must keep CCTV footage for 31 days so you can tell your line manager at RE that they can check the system should they need any verification.

I'm doing a Spanish meal this week and have just been checking out the menus online so I can work out how to stay in budget:p

The thing is the exact same food that I have to order is on a special menu at a discounted price but the notes say that you must not do any of the menu deals.

I can just imagine the scenario if I order the same dishes off the main menu and the waiter points out that I can get them for £x. Do I then say no thank you I would like to pay the (considerably higher) full price for them:confused:

I had the diarrhoea scenario for three pharmacy jobs I did this month (Jan). It just gives the game away when you ask for something for someone who has been suffering for ages then all of a sudden you don't want to buy it afterall - but you do need to know about about something else (totally unrelated) - and you do need to buy something (again)totally unrelated to either of your enquiries  . After doing the first one and feeling like a total plank I dreaded doing the others - at least I was in an area that I wasn't known lol.

Putting my nurses hat & apron on here but the scenario means the only safe advice is to consult a GP so it would not be appropriate or safe to purchase an anti-diarrhoea product anyway. So it would'nt really be odd to then say "Oh I need some shampoo/hair dye/whatever.

Yes folks you aren't seeing things. HP is sticking up for RE.:rotfl:

And yet still we manage it and more :rotfl:

I had a similar scenario where I couldnt accept the advised product and the counter server (understandably) thought I was crackers as I tried to make my excuses :o

yes it said that but they were with other customers - seemed a bit understaffed to me and a few people where getting fed up waiting at desks that they had been put at to be dealt with
