• Can anyone confirm when an assignment requires you to make a purchase. If you don't use the full allowance, will you be able to claim the full allowance plus the fee or just the cost of the purchase plus the fee.

For example, say a job included a purchase of up to £5 plus a fee of £4 and I made a purchase of £3.50, would I get £7.50 or £9??

Does this vary for different organisations - particularly RE and GAP.
  • Sorry, another question -

I have a pub job which is £15 reimbursement for food and drinks plus £5 fee. I called the pub to confirm what times they serve food, and at the moment they are not serving food. I called the agency who said I should treat it as a "drinks only" visit and put N/A for food related questions. I asked whether the payment would be the same and she said I'd still get the same and "feel free to have a couple of drinks rather than just one". Also, she said that I don't need to get a receipt as it would look odd asking for a receipt for a drink in a pub.

Now I'm not sure whether she meant that my payment would be the same ie I'll get £20 total for the visit OR that my fee would be the same ie I'll get £5 plus reimbursement for any expenses. Anybody any ideas???

    Thanks

You have to submit a copy of the receipt so you only get what you spent. I believe though TNS may be different so can someone else confirm this.

Is it just me but I had a look on the TNS site tonight as I have 2 weeks holiday and there was not one single job and I clicked up to April.

First time I have ever seen that.

Hi all, I think I may be being a bit thick, but please could you help me any way. I am applying for the TNS site and on eof the questions is...

When is the exception to the rule, when a questionnaire should be completed on the site of an assignment?

I have gone through the handbook and still can't find the answer. Any ideas please?

I thought this was when you are doing doing an overnight Hotel assessment - not sure though!

Funnily enough, I'm doing an overnight visit for them next week!

I pay on my card. So get a recipt for using the card.
I have used this a few times at pubs and had no problem with it.

When I have done a drinks only visit pub. I have put down for more than the cost of the required drinks. As you have to visit the tiolets twice over a 45 minute peroid. Thus your have more than one drink in that time peroid. :A

I think this is fair. At the same time I do not take the mick as well. If you were going alone I would not spend £15 on coke.

Can someone please give me a link to the TNS site to look for jobs? I am registered with them and get e mails from them but have lost the link to look for myself.
