Managed to complete half a degree in just over 2 years, so I'm chuffed to bits

Correct- Gap always pay the whole reimbursement so if you spend under, they'll still pay you the maximum they originally offered.
It becomes a bit of a challenge to spend as little as you can to make as much profit as possible; my best was a 10p ruler from a computer shop on a reinbursement of much more!0
