Yes, that sounds like what I did before - thank you. BUT I still think the assignment notes are confusing. It's not at all clear which counters are meant to be done. I thought the Shopping List was the main thing to follow - but that doesn't include petrol and cafe, and I know I have to do those, too. It would be much better if they just made one list with everything you need to cover instead of having about 3 different lists and trying to work out which bits are relevant.

I agree the notes from TNS for this supermarket are confusing. The best way to check which counters you have to visit is to log on using your normal log in that you would for checking jobs. Then go to my visits and click on that job. You get the original summary page on there which tells you which counters to visit. I usually print this off as a double check.

The notes include all counters and the first couple I did, I did too many counters too and it seemed a much bigger job than it needed to be, so hope this helps.

Yes, that helps, thanks! I did look at My Visits - that's the only place it tells me I have to do the cafe and petrol. That's why I'm saying it's confusing because you get half the job notes in My Visits, then you look at the Shopping List for more... then you find the actual assignment notes give a whole load more things - it would be nice if there was just one list with everything you have to do - or if you could at least access the questionnaire to see what you will be required to fill in.

Today I received a call from a company saying I had opened an account with them. I knew I had not.

They went on to tell me that a monthly direct debit would start on 19th December for £7. I have never set up any such direct debit!

What I did know was that I had been offered a job to mystery shop this company but I had turned it down, so I asked the MS company if some mistake had been made. They assured me no mistake had been made.

So, I contacted the company who claimed I had opened an account with them and spoke with their fraud department. I made it clear I had not opened any account. I was then assured that no-one from the company had ever contacted me! Now I was even more worried as I now had no idea who had called me and I had disclosed personal information to the person who had called me!

I spent half of the day worrying my identity had been stolen, that my computer security had been breached etc etc but it now seems that it was an auditor from the MS company I work for who called me - doing an audit for a job I did not do!

I was envisiging no Christmas, no money this Christmas, no holiday this Christmas and no turkey on the table in Turkey this Christmas! I am so relieved but the MS company will get the benefit of my tongue tomorrow!

So, remember, if something like this happens to you - just think if it could be the MS company you work for auditing you!

Poor you!! - that is absolutely appalling. I find it really hard to believe that a MS company would do this. Which one was it???

It has been a long day and I am tired, but can someone explain why a valid, legitimate audit would consist of telling someone that a direct debit had been set up? Personally, no matter how good the company assignments were, I would be deeply unhappy about this process, and would question working for them in the future.

Plus the MS company must have divulged Paul's phone number. Me I would be straight back on the phone to said MS'ing company.

PS Everyone I have my 1st assignment with Bare this Friday night. After all this time. Now hubbie fell on the ice tonight and broke 4 ribs. I am just back as they are keeping him in. Just as well as he is talking gobbledegook with the Morphone they gave him.

Damn it to hell. And when he phoned to say he'd fallen round the corner when I rushed round and he's lying there I dive straight in yelling "You better not be drunk"

Poor thing he is in real agony. What fun coming up to Xmas eh.

As I have never done this particular MS job I do not know what is involved. Rather than the auditor questioning me, I was questioning the auditor! The auditor must have been wondering what was happening too!

It was a genuine error on the part of the MS company, certainly not deliberate and, given the circumstances, could have happened to any MS company.
  • Hi

I hope this isn't a stupid question! I've just been accepted and registered with gapbuster this morning and have had a look at the assignment search but where I live (Worcester) isn't listed - does this mean they don't cover there or that there are just no jobs at the moment?

Seemed odd that Birmingham wasn't listed either but lots of tiny towns are?

    Thanks!

Sometimes I find they have listed jobs as area's e.g. Anniesland is in an area in Glasgow and it get's listed as Anniesland not Glasgow alot. Maybe try that also.

I have also just received an email from them saying I had been accepted only I had the same problem as you. I could not find my town when I searched the suburbs, but when I went onto search by client I did find one in Worcester. Still couldn't find any for me though.
