I've done loads of these bank jobs. Just say that they offered you an appointment and that's it. I think what the bank is after is to see if the staff members offer the customer an appointment or not and to see if the staff try and get your contact details so they can follow you up. The bank obviously wants their staff members to try and get new customers so they're seeing if the staff are trying every avenue to get you to join them.0

I don't think you've done anything wrong and you can just report the facts. Same thing happen to me on one of those jobs but I just stated I couldn't make any appointments and arranged a call back instead. Never got the call though.0 -
Can't get into RE either which is great seeing as how they've just called me (miracles happen) and arranged a job for tomorrow morning!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr0

Also!! Does anyone know when TNS pay?
I'm guessing it would depend on your arguements as to whther or not the taxman would let you have it as a genuine expense
If they say go into a shop and buy something and we'll only reimburse upto £20 of your spend. Then the taxman might ask why did you have to spend £20. Could you not have spent £1 and still completed the report as required?
They may not let you have the full amount as it was not a genuine business expense
But if they say you have to buy x y & z but we'll only reimburse part of the cost (because you get to eat x y & z) then you could argue that it was a genuine business expense as you could not have completed the job without incuring the cost.
It's complicated and you might want to put something on the taxes forum to get some of the ex-tax inspectors advice0 -
