I have had a flood of PMs about the mystery shopping flights.

I have now learned the flights are by personal invite only - they will not be published on the website.
  • I got a flight invite, but bad timing unfortunately. Do you think if I decline this time they will ever invite me again in the future?

    Thanks

Why should it? I am sure all the better shoppers will get more than one opportunity. These offers have come at short notice so, they are not convenient for everyone. I have had to turn down the flights too.

Although the flights are by invite this time - due to the short time contstraints and a desire, I guess, do create a good inital impression with the new client - I think there is a good chance that future 'waves' will appear on the open Job Board.

As I recall, the mimimum shop grade for the previous client was reduced from 8 to 5 - presumably because insufficient shoppers could be found? But the new client only has international flights - which are, of course, more desirable!

Flights sounds good. How much would you get paid for that and do you just tend to get straight back on another plane back home?

    Hmmmm

Just busy doing a sports job for RE and the questionaire I'm filling in seems to be different to the one I had to print off. Is this normal? Only asking as it's the first sports job I've done for them.

Is anyone else finding their isn't much work in the Merseyside area. RE have loads of bookmaker jobs, I've done a couple of them but the report is absolutely huge - 80 questions and 95% of them needing comments. Other than them there isn't much else on there. I signed upto GR about a month ago and theres only been 9 jobs on there since I joined. Few McDonalds on GapBuster but the pay is rubbish. Signed upto Gfk as well but again, very very few jobs, I'd say 7 in the last month.

    Anyone else experiencing this?
  • Yes, there's very little in Merseyside sadly. :(

I guess we all have our different reasons for favouring or disliking certain companies, (HP and RE being a commonly known example!) but I guess it's each to their own; I remember being staggered by MikeLB (a hugely experienced shopper) when he said they were one of his personal faves. I guess it's just a case of trying each co and seeing who works for you!

I quite agree Sinders. I think it is down to the initial encounters you have with the various companies. My objection to RE is for a paltry fee the time it takes doing the reports especially the ones where you have to do a massive summary at the end.

I am doing 2 underground sannies on Wednesday though as I am out doing 2 other visits so it suits me to get paid for eating. I am a bit nervous though as 1 is in a notorious shopping centre just outside Glasgow with massive NO PHOTOGRAPHY notices. It is the only 1 I know with this notice and no one knows why.

Gyp mucked me about by not paying me at all for the 1st visit I did and the 2nd I did when I got home and clicked Web Express it had changed to the one I did the week before ( and never ever got paid for). And it is ludicrous to me to go for a cheap burger ask for a receipt, stand with a stopwatch etc. But my friend Bryssn does well with them getting paid higher fees with them.

RM phoned me last minute last week to do 3 visits at the last minute last week ( little supermarkets) and upped the fee when I agreed and though there was no petrol with this job they gave me petrol as it was about 16 miles away. There reports are also simple.

I love GfK as I find if you phone their helpline they are pretty good and up the fee quite often for travel. Their questionnaires are great as if they are looking for a Yes answer it jumps to the next question. You only need comments if there is something wrong.

I am doing 2 jobs for PIP today though gonna phone and ask if I can change it to Wednesday as it is my birthday today(18th----Scorpio) and I am getting taken to the new Bond movie at night so will find it hard to get time to do the reports.

One query here for a shop I am doing.. The questions include description of assistant ( very posh clothing store). One question is describe member of staff FEATURES. What on earth do I answer there. Big pointed nose, acne with big plukes, both eyes facing in opposite directions. Anyone got any suggestions. Please.
