Hi Andy, yes, you'd need to register, whatever your circumstances - the only exception is if you're employed by the MSing company (which is almost unheard of nowadays!)

I guess it's possible that with the "current climate" that some places may stop mystery shopping - something easy to cut back on? Maybe that's what's happened to the toy shop?

I think you are right, I used to do a lot for a High Street Camera Store thats having financial issues but they seemed to stop rather abruptly once a new MD took over the company ......

I do remember about 3 years ago when I was still in MS infancy, it was about January and the clients were all obviously coming up for renewal. I did the exact same red Corner Shop for 3 different companies in a week with the same questionairre who were all obviously bidding for the contract!

Another question, does anyone kknow who MS's the Budget Supermarkets with a German twang .... Or are they as I have heard done my relatives of the local store managers ,,,
  • Right if I understand correctly, despite being employed I also have to register as being self-employed too....

Yes and you also need to ensure you register for National Insurance Class 4 Exemption as well.

  • Hi Dex I think the bic/swift is just for bulding societies, someone will correct me if Im wrong, but you will need the iban number which your bank can tell you (it might be on your statement)
    hope that helps

MS Flights are now back on the menu! Same MS company but different transatlantic airline company!

EDIT: It seems these jobs are by invite only and only for those with with a long history of consistently high shop grades and experience of doing MS flights.

BIC and SWIFT codes are idenitifers for all Banks and building societies worldwide and are needed for receiving payments from abroad.
    e.g. BARCGB22, NAIAGB21, MIDLGB22

The IBAN may include the SWIFT code part in it though.
