wow - super speedy respnse thanks
Josie is the gambling expert on here.
BTW for everyone like me who sometimes forget to do left and right. Especially when either is a street name. To a direction search on multimap and click the map link. Then you can zoom in quite large and get the street number that way and sometimes you can see the vuilding esp if it is large and distinctive.Clique member no 1.:D0 -
I haven't personally (don't know if I'm "target demographic") but IIRC there's been a few ladies on here who have done betting shops0

Hello
another newbie MS question I'm afraid - have any of the ladies ever been offered any betting shop MS? (not asking for specific details - just a yes or no would be grand). I think I would be quite good at it with my GIOL background but suspect I might be excluded for being a laydee and presumably not target market.
AFAIK it's on Gap who offer gambling jobs for women, the others are men only.
Oooh HP not sure I like being the gamblingexpert, perhaps in terms of mystery shopping!! Never go near the places otherwise - honest!!
RE money in today for me, finally!0 -
Fragglefan the airport auditing jobs on my page are airside, so you need to be flying somewhere, such as on business or holidays to get through to airside.
Be careful to check if job is landside or airside beofre excepting, especially if your not flying somewhere!:A The toughest form of mountain climbing, is getting out of the rut! :A0 -
Hello all!
Wow this thread's moved on a little since I last posted
A few debates (or mass debates as I used to find very funny when I were a lad) and a few newbies too
I saw back in the early 800's (post numbers) someone had noticed I wasn't here - the real reason is that I'm just SO busy at the minute, I have very little time to be on MSE anymore - I've moved jobs, set up in business myself (I'm an accountant) and got married - all that comes with those three has left me with about a minute of spare time a day!
I'm still shopping though; although only for a couple of companies and GAP who provide me with those well needed coffees and petrol
Anyway - off to do some work (again!)

Does anyone know about claiming mileage?
I know this might seem a silly thing to ask, but if I dont drive but still have to travel to an assignment, can I still claim mileage? If so do I use multi map or something to work out the mileage?

Think about it - if you drive, you claim mileage to reimburse yourself for the cost of running your car. If you walk, there is no cost (apart from your shoes but they're not allowable either!).
You can only claim for expenses you actually incur, not for ones which are purely beneficial to your pocket.0 -
Hi Timmne, yes we were wondering where u were. Hope u r well and married life is going good. How we have missed you financial advice and expert knowledge. Good to see u r stil roaming around!0

I know that Timmne, all I was meaning for travel expenses. i.e bus or rail, not for the power of using my feet, but by travelling on public transport about 5 miles each way.
I am not trying to claim something just to line my pockets. If am not allowed to claim mileage for travelling there via public transport, then I won't. That is why I am asking to check I don't claim for something I can't.
I am asking, just like as I see people have done more than 1 job at the same place and claimed the full mileage for each job, when they had already travelled there and claimed it. I don't think that would equate to claiming mileage fairly as you have already claimed once to travel there.
