I'm so annoyed, I just got an email from gfk saying they are not going to pay me for my last assignment because I got the left and right wrong. It was in a shopping centre with an entrance on the outside and inside but I assumed it would be the inside as they had given me the address of the shopping centre? other than that the report was fine so I don't see why they can't use thier brains for a change. I feel robbed! not to mention I had to pay out for a train fare for no reason :mad:

I would write back to GFK and explain that.

I had to do a cafe in a department store, and describe the adverts I saw on the way. I entered the store from the main doors on the high street, and described the posters on the main stairs going up to the cafe.

They disputed that, as they said I should have entered by a side door in a tiny mall next door, and gone up the back stairs and through the beds department to get to the cafe

I complained and said it's more logical to enter from the main entrance on the high street and I did get paid.

I would agree withh becles, write an explain saying on the brief it did not mention which door to use.

Thanks for the advice. I have just sent them an email, so hopefully it will be ok. If not its only money, right?

hmmm
I just did a tns in department store type one and wrote n/a in the left and right because it just didn't seem appropriate. I imagine tns won't argue cos they are really good like that.

I had already read a great number of posts, I was asking for a brief summary and any more personal tips and hints from those with a good amount of experience. Obviously posted my request on the wrong thread.

no, no, tdmmdi, this is definitely the right thread, but you'd probably get more response if you asked a specific question, it isn't easy to distill months or years of experience into a generalised reply, and I think Timmne comments on the first post (which I know you've read, before you tell me you have...) on how newbies can't expect more experienced peeps to just regurgitate everything they know. Ask a burning question, and damn it, I'll see if I can answer!!! Can't say fairer than that.
