Hooray, it's Study day!

As a newbie to this flying lark (I discovered this thread last week) I've come to realise that "little and often" is the way forward in keeping on top of the house. However, our Study is definately the Hotspot of the house - anything that doesn't have a home anywhere else gets dumped in the study. Looking around now I can see:

- A tall hat in the shape of a pint of Guiness with "St Patrick's Party 2007" on it
- Empty boxes for.... *deep breath*... digital camera, Home Hub, several computer components (no idea what they are), Camcorder, Sat Nav, Nintendo DS and 3 mobile phone boxes - why oh why does DH insist on saving these?!
- Several large rolls of birthday wrapping paper leaning against the wall in the corner
- Violin case, Viola case, 2 music stands, sheet music everywhere, piano
- Fish tank (containing fish)
- Straw Stetson hat purchased from Magic Kingdom last year
- Bag full of Halloween decorations (from last year's Halloween)
- Every bookcase crammed to capacity with books, DVDs, computer games and sheet music.
- Boxes of envelopes, padded envelopes, laminating pockets (Laminator is stored in a box under my desk and doubling up as a foot rest), reams of PC paper, paper files, punched ring binder pockets...
-.... and then there's my desk!

I could go on, but I think you get the idea - it's a bomb site.
:T And today is the day I am going to tackle it!!!!:T
Don't know where to start. Beginning to wish I hadn't typed this post because I feel obliged to do it now! Wish me luck fellow flyers!

Justamum...we have a family over here with 13 children I think, think she's pregnant again! Now whilst I'm all for big families if you can't support yourself and have to rely on handouts then don't have any more! They were done for fraud a couple of years ago as well.

I am off to the pub after I've washed my nest.. anyone coming??? By half eight this morning I had had ENOUGH.

Hubbys morning jobs.. dress self, feed the little 2 or 3.
My morning jobs.. Dress littlies, dress self, comb the girls hair.. comb self, make sure everyone has shoes and bags and lunches and coats. Sometimes I get to brush my teeth!

Today...

Hubby.. dressed self.
me.. dressed self, dressed littlies, brushed everyones hair, fed the little 2, found coats and bags and lunches and pe bags and homework, dealt with stepdad and his window cleaning stuff that I got ear ache for not washing his cloths when my mother had told me I didn't need to cos they would be back, and you can bet your life she will deny ever saying it when I see her... and missed going to college because he had planned a meeting for 11am Lord knows where and wouldnn't take the children to school even though this was discussed before I enrolled that he would take them Wednesday and Thursday.. Yesterday he didn't leave for work until almost 10:45 so why did he not make the meeting yesterday? oh.. that would be because it wasn't inconvenient or against what we have arranged. SO, I have paid £7 we don't have for Tiddles to stay all day at nursery so I could go to college then I can't go because he is a !!!!!!.

Mass poisoning/strangling/decapitation (delete or add 'and' as appropriate) of hubby's?????

Hopefully today will be one of the days he comes sneaking about and reading my posts as well.. then he can join and tell you how evil I am (like you don't know) and that I never even ironed his shirt for him!

Ok.. shower and pub then!

Sounds like Kim and Aggie are sorely needed there then

Doesn't it make you mad though? There you are with you 8 children, hard-working parents struggling along, and a family of lazy so and so's get a good lifestyle paid for by everyone else? And they want more!!:mad::mad:

more money not more children.. she's been sterilised.

No, it doesn't make me mad.. it makes me proud that I can say what we have we have worked for not relied on it being given to us.

And Kim and Aggie wouldn't touch it.. they'd want environmental health in.. if I was their social worker I'd have the children off them for neglect.. it would probably only take the threat. I bet when the children leave home they have the cleanest houses ever!! lol

Morning all.....can't believe that I'm having my morning break already, normally grunting incomprehensibly whilst attaching my coffee drip. So far today:
Dogs fed
WM on
DW unloaded and currently doing a maintaince wash
6 tons of black labrador hair hoovered from the kitchen floor
S/S around the bathroom
Toilets scrubbed and bleached
S/S around the kitchen
Blind baked a pastry shell for quiche lunch

Now relaxing for 20 mins with a coffee.
Can I say a huge thanks to everyone for the motivation to get off my butt and actually implement my good intentions. The lists are soo helpful without being intimidating and I get such a sense of achievment as I cross off each item.

well, so far today i have taken dd to school, deposited dog to dog wash girl, and cleaned the downstairs loo to level 3, God help any body who uses it today and gets any thing wet it has been buffed to within an inch of its life!!
Also cause its wet outside, all downstairs floors are going to have to be mopped again after the dog comes back(need to go through living room and kitchen to go out the back),and the guy has finished jet washing the back garden!!
10.30 This Morning is on so will do HHI then. At the mo, i am having a cuppa, then i will make a start on the upstairs bathroom.

Argh I've done nothing yet! Got up at 7.30am, sorted out the children for school (have 4 children to deal with for the morning school run), took children to school...had to go back to school with big girls tuba as she forgot it. Got home at about 9.10am, changed the baby, checked e-mails, gave baby some food, checked websites, had a coffee and I'm still drinking it!

Think my first jobs are kitchen and lounge rescue, then WM. Then I'll attempt to tackle the list!

Maybe we should have a week of flyladies hubby swop!! put your hubby in the 'pot' then we can all take turns to pick one out, you take your new hubby home, and kick him into shape over flying and other household / child type duties, then return him to his original owner at the end of the week, with his report!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Morning all

Sorry I didn't come back here last night, watched Holby and then part of that BBC1 drama, the gambling one. I have no idea why but it made me feel really fed up and down in the dumps. It's not like I even know anyone either in the family of friendswise who has a gambling problem. I think it was the fact that everyone was hiding things from everyone else that got to me.

Anyway it's another day today, school photographs and of course it is peeing down here! Keeping fingers crossed for a nice smile from W as I use the pics for Christmas pressies. He doesn't always like hi picture being taken and will either turn away at the last second or stick his tongue out! :rotfl:
AnW's Mum - how was A's assembly? The t-shirt
as great!

It was great thanks, she had a grin from ear to ear. They all did very well and had put a lot of effort into the whole thing. Loads of parents turned up as well which was very encouraging.

So far this morning I have flicked through the web ivory catalogue and chosen a few bits. Was sorely tempted to get the advent train for W but we have got fabric calenders we use so I resisted.
Happy Birthday Toots :D
