I am so tired today!!!!! Once again, no flying.... :( I had my x-ray (for my dodgy old bag hip!) which was moved when I was knocked out with my cold. The radiographer asked me to point my toes inwards, I nearly went through the roof!!! It was so painful!!!!

Then I went to sort out my birthday ear-rings (pressy from family :j ) From there, came home, whizzed round S&Sing the kitchen, and making dinner. Then I went to meet friends for coffee. Straight from there to school run. *sleepy sarahshattered*

    Ahh well, there's always tomorrow!

    Evening all
Soappie - good luck with the plumber - in what way is it not working?

I think it's all furred up. The water's been getting steadily and steadily weaker. Now, apparently, it's losing pressure big time. I had a brain wave on the way to work DiL's Dad has been on plumbing courses and things and is quite the handy man. I shall ask him.

Hugs to those with stroppy teenage boys. It DOES get easier eventually - honest! As Dusty mentioned, and some of you already know, I 'lost' my son from when he was about 15 until he was about 19. But, he's back now, thankfully. Though I know that's no help when you're going through it!

Hugs HollyH - sounds like you've had a bum of a day.

Well, my home is all nicely painted outside now. He's done a cracking job! I shall be recommending him to all my friends. Trouble is, I'm frozen sitting here - some windows are still open as they're not quite dried so I'm off to fly to warm up in a bit.

I ought to start thinking about packing for my holiday too. I'm getting quite excited now. Right, enough sitting here feeling cold - off to Dyson to warm up

  • Thanks Dusty and Pigpen, you're right, it does get you down, you think its something you've done wrong, have you brought them up right? do you nag too much or not enough? It just scares me knowing whats out there for them now, and it's just so important but I just can't make him see, and he's supposed to be bright!.

Was in the college this afternoon and they have said the same, that if it wasn't him, if they didn't know what a nice lad he was and that I work with them if there is any problems, then he would have been down the road with the other 3 boys that have just been chucked out, all because they couldn't be bothered - they've lost a great opportunity for being lazy. Luckily they know John enough to know that he does want it and is just going through a glitch (he proved it last year when he turned it around so well at the end and that was why he got the award earlier) so he is on a final warning!!!

I just don't get it! Thing is, at the end of this course, companies who work with the college come and take the students for apprenticeships, imagine, an apprenticeship as soon as you leave school for the asking...

Thanks too Pollybear, it is a comfort to know, just can't wait till it does. Oh and PigPen, DD (19) moved out a few months ago (1 mile up the road to my Mums :D ) because she thought it would be easier than living with me (Ha, I lived with my Mum, she's worse than me - tried to tell her!) and she has got worse not better - she's turned into a lazy soandso, lost her job in the hospital as a CSW (almost impossible to do!) and is now looking for shopwork (nothing against that btw, did it myself) - has a job 4 hours a week in Lush which is 12 miles away, does not drive so relies on lifts, loses her JSA because she's earning so now brings home less to pay my Mum with because they have promised her 'it will pick up'. I got her a job behind the bar up our club, she did the training and has now quit because 'she's going out'! She was a great kid at school, albeit a bit stupid, bless her (she is Dyslexic) but even with her problems she passed all her exams and got AA in Art, so we were so proud of her, now this... Total opposites both my kids, just proves brain or not, they're still as stupid as mud when it comes to common sense...

Sorry guy's rant over, thanks for all your support, just good to know that its all teenagers and it's not just mine

Someone make me move to clear the lounge please! Small girl is in bed and hubby has taken big girl to dancing and taken boy with him as well. My aim is to have the rest of the washing hung up, the kitchen surfaces tidy and the lounge floor clear to be hoovered in the morning. All by the time hubby gets back at about 7.45!

I am glad that some of the others were able to give you help - I'm afraid I have no real contact with teenagers so couldnt think what to say - sorry - I feel for you as I know you are a good Mum & Dad and you must be frustrated to hell and back. Lets hope now that his buddies have been chucked out he might get on a bit better.
