my fav syaing is that your house dint get in a mess overnight so it wont get sorted overnight - it all takes tome - baby steps to begin with - dont go mad at the beginning. Then i did my errands and treated myself to a couple of bits in the laura Ashley sale - for the house not me - just pretty little things - really liked a throw but it was still £65 in the sale!!! But I did get a fab bargain in the wallpaper - 3 rolls (for one wall) for £1.50 each - (was £25 a roll!!!!!!) and have seen the paper I want for the LR so will have to ebay something this weekend for it.
Where are the strong men when I need one:eek:

    toots xx

There are two really good sayings on this thread - Toots' as outlined above and Polka's 'don't walk around empty handed' ie pick it up and take it with you. My house isn't a mess anyway (now) but that reminds me that it takes time to make a mess and it takes time to sort it... Polka's is just top advice which I try to follow because it really helps!

:money: on the wallpaper - what a bargain!

When you've finished with the strong men send me one;)

Result!...DS has had a pair of trousers in his floordrobe for about a week.. I refused to pick them up and wash them but I did pick them up and hang them in his wardrobe...he has just come in from school and changed into them so they get at least one more wear before they are washed:D
Now all I have to dois get him to bring the 3 empty deo sprays out of his room and into the blue box..collected this am and throw (well put in the plastic recycling bag) his empty hair gels down.

***ducks to avoid lynx cans being 'tossed' downstairs*** no I AM NOT joking...my 'study' is in the hall (where the phone point is :D ) and I am sitting at the bottom of the stairs...

If you want some help, send the figures (let me know if you need me to remind you which ones you need!) , details of your current supplier and tariff(s) and your postcode (regional pricing) over and I'll get some of it done for you.
You're supposed to be booking tree surgeons..and measuring for a top for your laquer cabinet... among other things...

  • Afternoon all flypeople...

I sneaked off from work early (but arrived early too so I figure it's only a bit of unofficial flexitime :shhh: )

So far today I have failed entirely to fly. In fact, I failed so bad I realised half way through today I washed the sheets yesterday and forgot to take them out of the washing machine. Black mark for me...

I will now endeavour to clean all flat surfaces in my room, cut down all dead plants on the balcony and tackle the post mountain for at least 20 mins before heading out to orchestra rehearsal at 6:30.

Two hours, off I go :j

Then definitely metime with a nice cold  methinks!

Yes I know valli and much as I would love her to help me I would feel guilty that she wasnt doing her work so I will have to persevere and do it - it may take me longer but I will get there- I will have to do it in baby steps I think to make sure I do it all properly!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need to focus much more - I am doing the 'woman' thingy of trying to do several things at once and I cant do it!!!!!!! I have taken a huge step back this week and looked at my 'stuff' and am going to try and finish jobs.
cheers for the coffee - it is badly needed! xx

ok deep breath - first job is to make space in the LR to bring stuff from the hall/BR.

    toots xx

    Hi

Since my last post i have

    Brought dirty dishes downstairs
    Put coats & bags away
Sorted & polished cabinet in living room
    Stripped both boys beds
    wm x 2
Dry stuff off airer & put away
    Wet stuff on x 2
    Collected dirty laundry
Tidied & Hoovered Living room & Passage
    Watered herbs
    Put BM on
    Emptied bins
Took butter & milk out & put Toddler bag away

I can't seem to get going. I'm wondering if i'm coming down with something. I'm really achy and tired. I hope not:rolleyes:.

I'm going to delegate wood collecting to Ds1 and remake Ds2's bed. We're having leftovers for Tea tonight. I'm sick of having a fridge full of uneaten meals due to stepkids not eating their food:mad: . I'll be glad when OH's kitchen is finished and i can stop cooking for everyone ( i've only been waiting 2yrs:rolleyes: )

Excuse me young man - we dont do 'failure' here - you dont fail you just havent done it yet - I am sure if you think about it you have done something - even getting home early means that you have now got time to do the jobs you mentioned and are not rushing in to go out again !! failure is a banned word here - or it should be!!!!!:rotfl:

make your beer the treat after you do your jobs??????

can I be nosey and ask what you play - what orchestra - and what music are you rehearsing?

  • Toots I think it's definitely worth it, and it's so much better for us.... I'd rather have less meat, and it be really good quality, than meat from the supermarket all the time... but each to their own, and I'm not preaching! (much) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sounds like you've got your work cut out... I'd send the OH round to help if I could babes. :)
part of my trouble too is of course that i dont know my cuts of meat - shocking isnt it - at my age - I have only really started cooking this last year and never bothered before so I always feel foolish at the markets!!!!!!
    what a wimp!!!!!
