It's about 10 minutes on the metro to Notre Dame/ the river Seine. Notre Dame is very central. From there it's a short walk to the Louvre. It's as close as you'll get to the Sacre Coeur - just a 5 minute walk up the hill. The Eiffel Tower and arc de Triomphe are a bit further as you have to change.
Breakfast is pretty standard in Paris hotels and cafes, so there's not much to be gained by eating out. One advantage of a hotel breakfast is that you seem to get limitless tea and coffee, whereas in cafes you usually pay for each cup or pot.0
